I'd avoided reading this until now, not wanting to bother, but with people bringing up good suits straight off I guess I have to join in or concur. LONG POST IS LONG.

Venus 6.57 R Virgo just on the third house side and its cusp. Mercury also in Virgo/third. My 11th cusp is in Taurus so Venus is the ruler of my secondary 7th and 8th house as well, if you've read LotisWhite's texts on those.

ASC 6.53 Leo
11H Mars 4 Gemini
2H Sun Leo 28.20 OPP
0.30 Pis Moon
Uranus 29 Libra
Jupiter 24 Aries R
Saturn 27 Cancer

Used to like lean to even skinny guys in my teens, but grew out of that in adult years to accept or like more variety. I'm tall so I prefer tall men, but have associated even with shorter ones. The lean/skinny preference was contrasted slightly by my at one stage in my teens also quite liking the big WWE style wrestler physiques on some of the men.

Used to prefer brown eyes as a kid, got into blue ones in my twenties. Hair can be long or short, as long as they look good with it. Dark hair is preferred, but white/silver also works well instead of bland regular blonds. I also quite like bald men and redheads can look really good in some cases.

I always liked men in good suits and men in uniforms (firemen don't wear uniforms, they're boring. Military yes, police less so unless talking formal/dress uniforms or some streetcop uniform styles). Jeans can look good on some men but suit and tie on the right man probably adds more value to them.

It doesn't matter how hot they look though if the personality or character doesn't work. A good voice helps a lot (Gemini, 3rd house?) but less impressive ones can be negotiated around or gotten used to.

Enchantress299
mentioned good arms and I have to say they look good, of course, but aren't some specific requirement or demand. I appreciate arms far more though than behinds.

Liliya:
"Mine is Retro, and highly afflicted, and I love "weird" beauty, unusual faces, scars, and eccentric style."

Yeah, I think some of my preferences might be taken as weird by people who only consider the Jensen Ackleses of the world handsome. Conventionally handsome can look extremely boring. And that's coming from someone who does see why Ackles looks good now that he's aged some, but doesn't in the least get it why anyone would see anything worth fancying in the puppy that Jared Padalecki is by looks and in Supernatural.

But as said, I'm a retro Virgo Venus and have Sun opp Moon with Uranus sext-trine them. Uranus the DC-ruler, Gemini Mars in 11th. I like what I like, but it's not for looks only or always in conventionally handsome regions.

Childhood/teen favourites by looks and character included Mr. Spock and Data from Star Trek, but if asked to choose one of them by looks and body type it's young Leonard Nimoy, of course. Another scifi series Blake's 7 likewise had me prefer the cerebral brunette instead of the bigger or more boisterous and boring leader. Spock over Kirk and Avon over Blake.

Men who've caught the eye in TV series have included Robert "T-Bag" Knepper from Prison Break and Sasha "Captain Renard" Roiz from Grimm. So that's someone with suave moves and sex appeal, and a tall lean authority figure in suits some more again. Mark Strong looks good on the bald men side although given his tendency to not mind wigs if the role calls for it, your call if he counts. I first saw him in The Long Firm, so the picture's from that. Looking for some example pictures, I see now that I'm basically just channelling the same looks preference with both Roiz and Strong face-wise, and the rest also comply to another preference with their similarity.

Did someone call for cops?

Astrologically speaking that's...

Mark Strong (according to Astrotheme):

Uranus 5.43 Vir
Sun + Venus 6.21-28 Vir (exact with my Venus)
Neptune 13.14 Sco (conj my Eros)
Mars 21.30 Lib (2 conj my Aphrodite, Antiscion 8 Pis, opp my Venus?)
Merc 2.38 Lib (my IC)

Need I say more about why I noticed him?

Sasha Roiz (according to Astrotheme):

Sun 27.55 Lib
Moon 0.39 Vir
Venus 13.36 Sag (under a degree conj my Valentine)
Eros-Mercury 22 Sco (Antiscion 7 Aquarius, my DC)
Mars 2.41 R Tau (Antiscion 27 Leo ~ my Sun)
My Mars opp his Sag 3.7 Psyche + Neptune 5.47
My Venus conj his 4386 Lust
ASC 12.48 (?) so 6 opp my ASC + square my Eros

Robert Knepper:

Sun 16 Can
Moon ~22 Leo (?) conj 23 Mars (Antiscion of my Venus is 23 Aries, trine?)
Venus 0.34 Vir
Pluto 2.25 Vir
NN 7 Lib (conj my Pluto)
My Eros square his Psyche + Lust

Paul Darrow:
Sun-Eros 11 Tau (with a major Taurus stellium or 6 planets in Tau in general, some in my 11th house)
Venus-Valentine 14 Tau (opp my 13.30 Sco Eros)
Mars 20 Aqua in my 8th
Uranus 25 Tau conj my SN
Lust square my ASC
Adonis-NN conj my Juno

Leonard Nimoy:
My Venus square his ASC-DC, his Sun 2 trine my ASC. His Venus at 23 Aquarius which I tend to respond to for whatever reason. Possibly because its Antiscion or solstice point is square my ASC-DC. Although theoretically when compared to William Shatner's chart I should be more compatible with the latter as our ASCs are 2 opp and his MC trine mine, but this was about body types, looks and characters I preferred.

Coincidentally, I'm also replying to this when transiting Venus 14.20 Sag conjuncts my 447 Valentine and Sun is two degrees from my Uranus, with trPsyche 5 Sag - so all almost exactly where Roiz has his natal ones. Transit 2101 Adonis is 23 Libra on my Aphrodite, tr. Uranus sextile my 16 Psyche and trSaturn a degree from my 433 Eros. Should it matter.

My apologies for the two gifs, or intensity or whatever. Funnily enough I've also been reminded that Renard means Fox and I have Kaali-Fox 1,5 degrees conj my Venus.

Enchantress, thanks, that's so informative!

The person I had in mind for this post actually has a H3 Venus Virgo Rx square Uranus & Jupiter (in the 5th house)

Do you find that the Uranus/Jupiter squares interfere or mitigate some of this?

What do you think about when you imagine a long-term relationship - is it desirable, how would it be possible, etc.

I think Venus/Jupiter just means you know how to party and can occasionally over-imbibe (in this case at least)

But Venus/Uranus... that seems so hard? Does it make you feel trapped, or is it just something you have to constantly manage and reason through?

You know, I think on an internal level, the Uranus/Jupiter conjunction actually helps because it gives me a little bit of quirkiness and uniqueness that not everyone has, which makes me stand out. I used to joke that I could always tell when a guy was starting to fall for me, because inevitably, he would always start to call me "unique." It is a very odd thing to me that this particular key word was always used in those cases, but it does make sense to me because this aspect is located in my 1st house (outward expression).

However, the other thing I sometimes wonder is about the outward manifestation of my Jupiter/Uranus, and that is usually what trips me up in relationships. My Jupiter/Uranus conjunction is actually a part of my fire grand trine which involves Mars Leo (9th) and Moon Aries (5th). I have this tendency to attract very flaky men with very unstable situations or, essentially men who are not in situations where they can be in a relationship with me. I cannot express to you how much I would rather just attract men who are 'stable' and 'reliable' instead of constantly changing (my inner nature is truly a constant thing, and I am deeply loyal, sensitive, and reliable). But, I'm assuming, due to the nature of my outward expression of my Jupiter/Uranus square Venus, I don't seem to attract those types. So yes, I do actually desire a long term relationship, but I typically want an 'equal' relationship, in which I am not getting the short shrift.

I think the irony about it is that I've known many Venus/Uranus square types that really genuinely don't want long term relationships (and who thrive on the excitement of short term relationships), but I really REALLY want a long term relationship, and I end up with lots of short term relationships anyway.

quote:
BTW your placements are super interesting! Maybe you feel unconventional, but with a Sun-Venus conjunct on your MC (plus the Uranus) I bet you have a lot of admirers!

The Uranus/Jupiter in the first is always going to give an unconventional face. I have Uranus/Saturn/Neptune in the 1st...it doesn't impact my appearance (I don't think) but it makes me appear simultaneously dreamy & controlled while being a bit unreliable. Ha

You know... I'm not always sure if I have a lot of admirers. Oddly enough, I attract friends really easily. I've had current friends and random acquaintances tell me that their first impression of me was that I "just seem really cool" and that I always seem positive and fun (in fact, a random friend of a friend just told me this at a party last night). But it has never ever worked out that I have a zillion admirers beating down my door or blowing up my phone. Oddly, I have a good sense that there are many men who are attracted to me (and will flirt), but for whatever reason, they rarely make this known to me up front. It always ends up that a romantic rival 'wins out' in those situations and so I have gotten to the point where I simply just let things lie.

With my Uranus/Jupiter in the 1st (I also have Neptune there) I also get the 'dreamy' reaction from people, but I also feel like my personality (upon first meeting someone) is something like a Rorschach test. I have Scorpio rising natally, so I tend to hold back a bit, and with my unconventional nature, people have this odd reaction to me where they project things onto me that I have never said or done. The nice thing is that those types of reactions typically give me information about THAT person, but always catch me totally unaware, like: "Where in the world did he get THAT idea?"

FruitTreeFresh: "Men in suits are different from men in uniforms."

Which doesn't mean that some people don't like both and a lot more on top. The thread has seen talk of suits and police both, for example. Not that either has much to do with bodies the way the original question was, but that's what you get.

I kind of disagree with all the discussion that's gone on in this thread. Everyone said generic stuff like 'has to be clean' but isn't that kind of a given? Who goes out on dates all unkempt and smelly, dirt & grease on them?

Of course, I think hygiene is important but that's certainly not one of the main things I think of when thinking of an 'ideal' because again - that's kind of a given.

My main issue with this is I really don't think my Venus in Virgo has anything to do with the type of guy I'm attracted to. But it definitely affects how I am and how I present myself. So, I think this question should really be posed at the guys because I think for them the attraction is based more on their Venus & Moon, whereas for women its more their Mars and maybe their sun. My Mars is in Cancer & Sun in Leo and I think that has a whole lot more to do with who I'm attracted to.

------------------
Leo with Scorpio Rising & Moon in Taurus.

enchantress299, I forgot our charts are really similar. I also have Scorpio rising, Jupiter/Uranus conjunct in the 1st with Venus squaring it in the 10th and Mars in the 9th but mines in Cancer. I can relate to a lot of what you said! I didn't even think about the Venus Uranus square having a heavy hand in the guys I attract and/or am attracted to who end up being unavailable!

Also I don't get the uniform obsession. Don't most women like men in suits? All the police love, I don't get! Can't stand them but I've got Mars in the 9th square Saturn/Pluto conjunction so maybe that's the 'dislike of authority thing?
