There are certain things in the Lilly point system that i really don't know how to tell/what they mean.
http://www.skyscript.co.uk/dig5.html

How do you tell if a planet is in it's own terms?
2) how to tell if planet is in own face?
3) swift in motion?
4) Saturn, Jupiter, Mars when oriental? how do you tell if they rise before the sun??
5) Moon increasing in light (waxing)??

THANK YOU!! I am just learning horary and some of these terms aren't familiar to me.

I don't follow many of Lily's rules. Some I don't understand either lol. That's probably why.

However, I do follow the Table of dignities.

To give you an example from the Table, Mercury in Aries is in its own Term if placed between 14-21 degrees Aries. Venus in Aries is in its own Face between 20 and 30 degrees. (however, Venus in Aries loses points for being in its own detriment too)

To know when a planet is rising, you look at the Asc/DC axis. Above the axis, they have already risen and are visible in the sky (this is why the 7-12 houses are the "public" houses). If say Saturn is in the 1st house and Sun is in the 2nd (so both in the "private" houses, below the horizon), following the natural progression of the houses counter-clockwise, Saturn is closer to the Asc and will conjunct Asc (will rise) before Asc conjuncts Sun (sunrise). Saturn rises before the Sun in this case (is oriental).

A waxing Moon is a growing Moon. You have that after a New Moon (Sun-Moon conjunction) and before a Full Moon (Sun-Moon opposition). Any time between those 2 events, the Moon is waxing.

If the opposition between Sun and Moon happened more recently, Moon is waning (decreasing).

Swift in motion.. methinks refers to being faster than the usual speed of said planet. For instance, if a planet is about to turn Rx, it is slower than usual. So not swift in motion.

I seriously disregard those rules. I consider them mind clutter. Horary can be made really simple or really, REALLY complicated. I think they invented all these rules to make it less accessible but it doesn't have to be.

Why do you need Term when you got Domicile? It's the strongest dignity evah!

And btw it's no longer in its Term coz it's passed the 6 deg 59 min 59 secs.

I am thinking Sun sets before Saturn hence yes but not sure. Like I said, I don't use this info in judging horaries.
