I've been reading a lot on transits lately. Found an article in which they try to explain why do certain people experience different events with the same transits (planets). So it happens to be that different layers have to be taken into account.

Lets see an example of Uranus square Moon.

1) Which houses Uranus and Moon are in the natal chart?

Uranus - 5th
Moon - 11th

2)From which house does Uranus make a transit to Moon?

from 9th

3)Which houses do Uranus and Moon rule in natal?

Uranus - 4th
Moon - 9th

So they say that you must look on the transit through these layers.

1) What spheres causes the event to happen?
In this example you see that Uranus natally is in 5th, Moon in 11th, so it could be children, falling in love, creativity versus friends, social life, organizations, etc. You look for the causes for this event here.

2) In what sphere the event is taking place?
Uranus is currently going through the 9th, so it could be higher education, travelling, higher ideals, etc.

3) What spheres will hold the consequences of the effect? What will be affected?
Uranus rules 4th, Moon rules 9th

So the effect from this event would be seen in persons personal life, home, family, education, abroad, etc.

Putting it all together we could come up with many different scenarios. Which will be the right one, probably depends on our current situation + the intuition of astrologer to say the correct one.

Uranus square Moon would give an unexpected event, which strives for the change, in our emotions, our environment, as the Moon is the natural ruler of 4th..

So maybe we're talking about a starting artist who suddenly gets a chance to go studying abroad, thus having a higher education in a different country, changing residence, leaving home. It naturally changes her environment, her home, affects her education.

Or she might fall in love with a foreigner and that would make her change her country of residence.

Can you see if this theory applies to your major events in transit?

For example, if you would like to guess an event from the information i provide? The *event* happened in 2009, the day the aspect was exact, in my chart. It was the only major transit aspect that was exact.

T. Jupiter square N. Pluto

1) natally Jupiter in 11th, Pluto in 3rd

2) transit Jupiter in 5th (near 6th cusp)

3) natally Jupiter rules 4th, Pluto 3rd

What was the event? It made changes to 4th and 3rd house issues, 4th house was more affected,

Lets see . . .

The Facts:

Natal JP n 11, rules 4
Natal P n 3, rules 3

T. JP n 5/6, 90 exact P n 3

Layer One:

3rd house = local environment, relatives, maintenance of transportation vehicles

4th house = personal residence, community work location

5th house = entertainment fields, sports, children, love life

6th house = work environment, insurances, landlord and renters

11th house = hopes and wishes, friends and associates, board members and different associations and committees

Layer Two:

JP = big moves, cross state to cross country to foreigner lands, personal advancements and financial growth. Legal issues

P = the masses, investigative work, deep passions. Hidden agendas.

Layer Three:

Square (90) = the impulse is to defend or break away from . . .

You ask,

what was the event? I do not know.

It appears to me that you have a large family unit that may be close to you. You may even live near them.

Something associated with the 5th and 11th may have steered your interest enough, to have you make a decision to pursue that interest.

So, you may have decided to leave your close nit family life for a new adventure far away from home.
And you are looking back in retrospect to try and figure out what was the impulse that started it all. I guess.

You are lucky; it appears that your change was for the better. Many people try to look back and understand why they got fired from a job.

More times than not, it takes more than just one exact aspect indicator to suggest a possible occurrence. The transiting Sun, Moon or, Mercury making any host of major or minor aspect to the natal planets are sometimes part of the equation, as these planets are closely associated with the natal person's ego, emotions and, disposition to speak up for their cause. Because, without that personal node of approval or action of disapproval from the natal person, nothing may happen at all.

If you are interested in transits, perhaps the 2014 ColorVision Transit Charts may interest you further.
