I've been investigating the link between each zodiac sign and the colours which represent them. I need to make a list of each sign and then assign 1 colour to each sign. I know that Red = Aries and Black = Capricorn. But I don't know the rest. If any of you have any knowhow or ideas, please say. IP: Logged

The actual colours, one method and the most basic and impartial is HSV! Hue of 0 degrees is red, aka Aries Hue of 30 degrees is Taurus Hue fo 60 degrees is Gemini, etc. etc. Each marked number is one of the yang signs. In between are the yin signs. 0/360 is Aries, like I mentioned earlier, and it's pure red. IP: Logged

Notice that's why different Astrologers give different colors most of the time. You can give reason as to how certain methods seem to make the most sense, but there is no "actual color" rule which you must abide by for each sign. My opinion of the colors for each sign: (And I actually use these colors all the time for them) Aries - Red Taurus - Brown Gemini - Purple Cancer - Gray Leo - Orange Virgo - White Libra - Pink Scorpio - Black Sagittarius - Yellow Capricorn - Green Aquarius - Sky Blue Pisces - Blue I sometimes add variations, but these are the general colors I use for them. Aries - Red Taurus - Rich Greens, Pinks, and Browns (Colors of a fecund valley with flowers, Taurus has the colors of Venus in their richest form). Gemini - Yellow (said to be a color associated with intellect and communication). Cancer - Pearly White, and other glowing pale creamy shades (Colors of the Moon). Leo - Orange and gold (Colors of a blazing Sunrise). Virgo - Dark Greens, Blues, and Browns (Colors found deep in a wooded forest). Libra - Pastel Greens and Pinks (Libra has the paler, more ethereal versions of Venus�s colors� Green and Pink). Scorpio - Black, Dark Red, Maroon, and Amber hues (A combination of Pluto�s Black and Mars� Red mixed together to form a variety of hues). Sagittarius - Purple, and Royal Blue (Colors a purple/blue flame). Capricorn - Grey, and other rock-like shades (Colors of mountain peaks). Aquarius - Electric Blue, and Sky Blue (Colors of the sky that surrounds the Sun). Pisces - Soft Greenish Blue and Lavender (Colors of the deep sea, and the Lavender? Who knows maybe it�s the Purple associated with Pisces� co-ruler Jupiter filtering through). I've also noticed that in general Airs signs resonate well with white, and Fire signs resonate well with bright colors. Water signs resonate well with flowing spectrums of colors that subtly blend from one to another, and Earth signs seem to resonate neutral earthy tones like tan, brown, grey, and greens. Also the planets are associated with certain colors. The Sun - Is associated with Gold and Orange The Moon - Is associated with Pearly White, and other glowing pale shades. Mercury - Is associated with Yellow. Venus - Is associated with Green and Pink. Mars - Is associated with Red. Jupiter - Is associated with Purple and Royal Blue. Saturn - Is associated with Grey. Uranus - Is associated with Blues, and neon 'electric' colors. Neptune - Is associated with the Green/Blue spectrum of colors. Pluto - Is associated with black. I've also noticed that how things are placed in our charts has an effect on how we perceive the colors of signs and planets... In my chart I've got Moon in Cancer in the 8th house. Cancer is associated with pale glowing shades, but when you mix that with the dark redish/black tint of the 8th house, it turns into a Maroon sort of color. When I close my eyes and think of my Cancer Moon in the 8th house, that's the color that comes to mind... A kind of soft maroon. I have a Sagittarius Asc with Venus and the Sun in the 1st house. In my minds eye tend tend to see my 1st house as largely purple and a tiny bit blue, with splotches pink and gold on it. There's also hints of grey and red there, because my Sun's in Capricorn (grey), and the Sun and Venus are in the 1st house (the Aries house, for Red). I tend to see colors when I look at other people's charts as well. The different signs, planets, houses, and aspects, all come together to create different hues and color combos for every unique birthchart in my minds eye. It's part of what helps me understand a person's energy dynamic. IP: Logged

Some people are just afraid to use and trust their owl creativity and make up color associations that fit them instead of parroting what someone else came up with. IP: Logged
