I don't know if this happens with a lot of people, but I've never felt like my ASC, on the contrary I seem to attract people who match my ASC, while I feel more like my DSC! Is there anything that could explain this (when none of my planets aspect my DSC directly, and it's ruler is only aspected lightly) or is it a fluke occurance?IP: Logged |

There might be aspects that can show traits similar to your DSC sign. For example, a person can have Pisces DSC and lots of Neptune aspects in his/her chart so that this person feels Piscean.IP: Logged |

The only ones I have are semi-squares. I have Sun, Mercury, Venus semisquare Jupiter and Jupiter square my True Node and then my MC. It makes a few other aspects to outer planets that my personal planets also aspect too, but it's like inconjuncts and biquintiles.Gemini ASC are supposed to be these pointy, fairy-like creatures and I'm basically the opposite. BUT my Scorpio friend, for example, has always looked a lot younger than her real age. My Libra friend is very pointy and fairy-like indeed. My Taurus friend just talks, talks, talks. All the time. However, I'm not a talker myself. And I look my age. IP: Logged |

I'm Scorpio Rising, giving my DC Taurus. I have Venus/Saturn conjunct, this make me feel a little taurean. I don't mind Do you have some planet or asteroid in the 7th house? IP: Logged |

I can relate! Sort of. I am definitely a Virgo Rising, but I have a strong Pisces influence. My Venus is placed there, and makes aspects to just about every other planet/point in my chart!Neptune is slightly less prominent, but still an important factor in my chart. I feel like it's important to note, though, that I *feel* this influence, but other people usually don't. Being that we're talking about the 7th house, Pisces attributes form part of my "shadow" self, and I don't tend to exhibit them regularly like a Pisces Rising would. But under duress...hahaha ------------------ Sun -> Aries Moon -> Sagittarius Ascendant -> Virgo IP: Logged |

You made me think of something too which is that our oppositions on the wheel DO tend to mirror us, so perhaps not ALL Gemini are fairy-like chatty kathys and not all Sags are humongous comedians. So perhaps I'm just more in touch with my Sag side of Gemini than my Gemini side of Gemini. And in common with you, other people tend to see me as a Gemini rising too! It drives me crazy because it's not what I feel like. IP: Logged |

Lol, "some" planet... how about planets. I have Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in my 7th house - all trine my 11H Taurus moon. IP: Logged |

Yes! This is exactly me too. My Ascendant is Leo and Descendant is Aquarius. I act like Aquarius very much, and nothing like Leo. I think the Descendant can be a more inner personality while the Ascendant is a more outer one. (Descendant is kinda like the Sun because it's a more inner personality, but not emotions like Moon, IMO) (I am starting to believe it's more significant than your Ascendant (IMO) because of how much I act and think like Aquarius compared to Leo, but I would need to ask more people in order to test that observation) (it's most likely not the case, but it seems like it) (well for me it sure is) I'm not sure what aspects my Descendant makes. I don't have any planets in Aquarius though. My Ascendant's depositor; the Sun, is in Virgo and trines Uranus, Moon is in Gemini in the 11th and Aquarius Decan and Uranus makes many aspects though, (But my Sun does too, so...) but I think I act too Aquarian for the little significance of it I have. I mean, no planets in it! Lol. IP: Logged |

I find I am like my ascendant but crave what my descendant stands for. For instance, I prefer uncomplicated, plain presentation of things and minimalism. These are things I associate with Aries since it's the first sign, the beginning. I picture one thing as opposed to everything which is where minimalism comes in. I absolutely despise clutter to the point it knocks me off balance, being in a cluttered room. I also like being first and prefer new things and progress over the old and outdated. I like everything to proceed quickly with very little waiting. I hate waiting for any appointment with a passion. So yes, I am definitely attracted to what my descendant stands for. Plain, simple, quick, brand new, exciting. That's what I like.IP: Logged | |
