I know venus/ascendant in synastry would cause the venus person to try to please the ascendant, right? But what could cause people just in general act like this?
Is there some certain charming aspect?
I know a girl who isn't especially nice in real life, but somehow almost everybody just want's to please her and make her happy even though she is just being herself and not trying to appear especially nice

And what could cause the opposite effect?

I have a friend like this. She is really nice though, but people generally like to please her. She has Venus-mars conjunction in 3rd house & Neptune in 11th.
Maybe Neptune plays a role here? Glamming things? So it's mesmerising in a way?
Also sun trine moon is helpful I think.
Oh: and sun conjunct jupiter...
