I was sitting down with my friend the other night and speaking to him about two girls he cares very deeply about.

With girl 1 he has a number of sextiles between "so-so" planets... I told him the connection with girl 1 may be ideal if he is looking to work a little more.

Girl 2 seems to be a little better..(there may be some bias here ...she's a good friend).
He has a number of conjunctions, and squares.

The most direct aspect between girl 1 and my friend is a Venus conjunction in Scorpio (1.58)

The most direct aspect between girl 2 and my friend is a Venus conjunct Juno aspect (.45)

I will find it nearly impossible to be impartial so...help?

Thanks!

Well speaking of specific aspects.

I have Venus conjunct with an ex-gf.

It's difficult to explain really. Even though the relationship broke down. We still love each other very very much. It's just a different kind of love. It's transformed, but no less powerful than before. We broke up 5 years ago and I've had gf's since, but she's still important to me. It's kind of a mix of brother/sister - bestfriend feel.
But what I'm getting at is it seems to be lifelong love whatever form it takes. Just in my experience.

I had my Venus conjunct my ex's Juno in Scorpio. It didn't work out. Ironically because she didn't really want commitment. Strange for Juno from what I read but her NN is in Leo exactly square her Juno and my Venus. In short, check the North Node position in the potential partners too!? lol

Juno seems to represent commitment...Venus seems to represent love...

Both conjunctions are in Scorpio.

No one truly knows what Juno actually represents.

Most Western astrologers associate it with commitment, but I've found that it's mostly related to sexuality and sexual attraction / activity (I am not 100% sure but if I remember correctly, Magi Astrology considers Juno a sexual asteroid and not a love or commitment asteroid).

So, if you want physical attraction, Juno is your guy (or... gal).
If you want a more refined, but probably less passionate or "sexy" kind of association - look for Venus.

Ps. This is just my personal opinion based on observations. Nothing is set in stone.

It does make sense though. Even though Juno was the goddess of marriage and commitment, she was also an extremely passionate (in every kind of sense) goddess.
Also, her relationship with Jupiter started out as a grand passion; as a fact he only married her, cause she refused to sleep with him otherwise.

And even later on when he was cheating on her left and right, when she threatened to leave him for real, he did everything to win her back (well by arousing her jealousy. ). It worked though, they reunited passionately (for a while), until the same old cycle startd.

But the bottom line is, passion is a big thing in Juno`s mythology as well, even though we always pay attention to her as commitment asteroid.

BTW even though Venus is called the goddess of love, she does not represent love, or at least not all shades of it.
She represents attraction and sensual love, but not necessarily the emotionally deep caring love.
On her own she is not about passion either (unless paired with mars or Pluto or Eros or Adonis or similiar ones); passion often breaks taboos and goes really deep; Venus likes things to be rather agreeable and harmonious for the most part.
