What does this do? Is it harmonious like the sextile, or creates pressure like the square?

Silly PlutoFish! All aspects are harmonious aspects!

But it's a square + a semisquare so I interpret it as being semisquare, like the relationship between quintiles and biquintiles.

I thought squares create friction & opposites build opposing pressure that need to be worked through relationships?

WELL each aspect is harmonising in their own ways! Squares require adjustment, oppositions need balance, and sextiles have to have effort. Think that no aspect is a bad aspect, because that's an oversimplified way of looking at them! Instead of thinking bad aspect...think invigorating aspect!

The sesquiquadrate and semi-square are both minor hard aspects.

They create subtle tension between the two planets, so that the person is often unaware of their own reaction or behaviour, but other people can see their inconsistencies (if they pay attention).

They are often related to "strange" health problems because the tensions they create are typically subconscious and tend to be somatized, which leads to "unexplained" symptoms (like weird pains in the body or mental issues that don't seem to have any direct cause).

Obviously they're not as strong or in-your-face as the major aspects and are often overlooked because they don't create much "drama"... They're like a quiet dissonance in the background.
