Is it that bad to have a 12th house moon?I have one. My daughter has one. My mother has one. Or is this more like inheriting a trait? IP: Logged |

I think it's a good thing for the most part.Well the 12th House is ruled by Pisces and the Moon is a water planet ruled by Cancer, so the Moon does well in water signs and houses.
The Moon is debilitated in Scorpio because of intense emotions but it's powerful because of that. Scorpio is a water sign and the Moon represents emotions so the emotions within will be evident. Moon in the 12th makes you very intuitive and imaginative. It can also make you crave romance and you have compassion for other people. You are very sensitive to people's emotional cues and sensitivities. (similar to the 4th House Moon in that way) You pick up on them naturally without effort. Since you, your daughter and mother have it, you will all have some sort of telepathy with each other and able to know exactly what one needs. It is also strengthened and influenced more since you're around them receiving and influencing their 12th Moon placement. It can be bad because since you're sensitive to others, other people's problems will make you feel like you need or should have did something to help them. This placements also makes you more emotional than the average person. However it's more in an introspective way than a show off-y way. I have Moon in the 12th in Gemini for Vedic Astrology and I relate to it because I'm very intuitive and able to pick up on subtle universal influences and sub-conscious workings of the psyche in people. I have a 12th house moon and it's by no means a bad thing or inherited. It just means that we're emotional but hide those emotions. We aren't aware of how we feel even when we know how we feel. Lol It's a really interesting moon quite mysterious.  IP: Logged |

Wow! Very cool.I definitely sense emotions and vibrations and when I was ~20 I could feel vibrations from people through my hands. Very weird, but I loved it, gave me the upper hand in knowing someone's intentions. I knew when someone was "icky". Somehow I don't have that capacity anymore, but I can feel other's pain emotionally and sometimes I bleed emotional for the people I care about and people on the news I feel sad for. My daughter is sooo connected to me emotional. My Mom and I pick up the phone and the other is there never hearing a ring all the time! I had read once that it means the mother was not there for you. My grandmother was not there for my Mom at all. During my pregnancy with my daughter my Mother was not there for me, otherwise she has always been my biggest cheerleader. I always want to be there for my daughter and I want to make sure I am sensitive to when she needs me. IP: Logged |

My mom was and still is very odd to me. I know she loves me with all of her heart but I can't help always feeling like a disappointment and that I wasn't meant to be alive. I know that's mean to say but it's honestly how I've always felt. IP: Logged |

Oh Barbie, I am sorry you feel that way.Sometimes people react to us in a way not because we are unworthy but because they can't handle a disappointment within themselves. It's called projection. As a 12th moon you may be absorbing someone else's emotion that are not meant for you. You are special and important and you need to search within yourself what are your gifts to uncover them and let them shine. I totally agree. I have a 12th house moon in gemini and my daughter has a 12th house capricorn moon. I can intuit her needs very well. I agree with everything you said. IP: Logged |

As a 12th house gemini moon, I can definitely sense other people's emotions. I can pretty much sense what someone wants from me upon meeting them. But sometimes I don't know my own feelings like it took me months to fall in love with my ex until he said he was in love with me. Then I analyzed everything and came to the conclusion I was in love too but up until then I hadn't thought about it I just knew I was crazy about this men lol
Also my mom has always been loving to me, she spoiled me rotten as a kid, but she's a bit overbearing and eccentric but I love her very much. As an infant I was separated from her for about a year due to child custody dispute between a relative and her ex (he lied). Not all 12th house mooners have distant mothers. It also means we tend to feel different or we have a hard time feeling we fit in with everyone else. We tend to isolate ourselves as a way to recoup from stress. Sometimes loneliness is an issue, it's hard to comprehend others feelings because they seem somewhat insensitive to people compared to how deeply we feel and want to protect others feelings. We wonder why people don't protect our feelings the way we do there feelings and when we try to explain to someone else how we want to protect others feelings because we get how important feelings are....they don't understand what we are talking about, this is a lot of the reason we feel alone and misunderstood! I'm a 12th house mooner aswell, and i think your right we do explain things in a way that protects their feelings, even tough i'm very blunt about things i know what pushes peoples buttons and gets a strong reaction so i don't say such things to bluntly... also i think 12th house moons and pisces mooners are more likely to do drugs than many other placements, i used to smoke allot of weed and occacionally do some acid, shrooms and coke and heroin(lol i know i'm crazy) and almost everyone of my "stoner friends" had either pisces moon or 12th house moon, some of them had these placements in their sun instead.

I have read in many places how 12th housers and drugs just are not a match.....but, I have a well aspected 12th house stellium, it sextiles my pluto on the midheaven and my sun. My sun and pluto trine. I am into drugs in the most positive way you can, I work in medicine and all I do is advise and research drug regimens and the best med for a patient. I hope when my children grow up that I will be able to return to school delve deeper into research. I noticed Timothy Leary and I have the same ascendant and midheaven but that's just a coincidence. My daughter is a 12th house Scorpio Moon and i think I can be a bit clingy. I have an obsession with pedophiles being near her. It freaks me out! If a man looks at her or is just nice i already get suspicious lol. I know I exagerrate but there are too many bad things going on nowadays. I wasnt always like this until i had a dream that she was murdered and raped. It traumatized me. She is only 5. I get so paranoid. And i did read once that 12th house mooners have a mother who is either too overprotective or distant. IP: Logged |

OMG! My daughter has a 12th house scorpio moon and I am just as obsessed as you! My issue is my mother (who has a 12th house moon) who watches the news and calls me everytime a horrible crime happens to a child. I was petrified when my child was born because that same year so many terrible events were televised. I am a hawk/watchdog with my children.
