Hello all,When I go on astro.com to do my natal chart, i always leave "house system" as default and when i do that it always uses "placidus." So here's the dilemma, my natal chart under placidus my uranus is in the 10th house. But when i use "equal" as house system, my uranus is in the 11th....so which one should i use??? IP: Logged |

Whichever one feels most correct to you. Astrology is an intuitive art, as well as science. IP: Logged |

The best way to test which one makes sense (that I have come up with) is to look for a planet in your chart that is near the beginning or end of a house that also has an upcoming "return" transit. When you're going through the transit take note of what it's like in one house as opposed to the other. It's hard to do with Uranus since he's so slow but I recently had the chance to do this with Saturn... With Placidus, I have Saturn at the very beginning of 3rd house at 29 Libra but he's at the end of the 2nd house with the Equal system. During a lot of my Saturn return Saturn was in the 2nd house. Dealing with 2nd house "Saturn issues" seemed completely different from anything I had encountered whereas now Saturn's fully in the 3rd and the problems I am facing seem much more familiar and manageable. This is why I identify with the Placidus results more but I can see how it would be different for someone else. I think what I described is a good way to test it for yourself. IP: Logged |
