This week we have two Main Events: the fourth Pluto-Uranus square (Friday) and a Solar Eclipse / New Moon (Sunday). Either of these planetary alignments by themselves would indicate a huge turning point or a transition time and to have them within three days of each other is a bit like trying to jump rope and climb a mountain at the same time. It will be important for us to step away from things and breath and relax as much as possible.

Another important event to note, is that our physical Sun has been releasing two X-class (the highest magnitude) flares and at least nine M-class (second highest magnitude) flares over the past three days. Solar flares send waves of electromagnetic radiation into space. If they are Earth-directed (as several were this week), we as embodied humans must receive that electromagnetic energy and integrate it.

If you've been feeling more emotional, tired, or reactive than usual, any of these events, could be seen as being behind it.

This week, there are also several planets around the 10th degree of the sign that they're currently inhabiting, creating multiple exact aspects (angular relationships defined by the number of degrees separating two planets).

The planets involved are Pluto in Capricorn; Saturn, the Sun, the Moon, North Node and Mercury in Scorpio; Mars in Virgo; Uranus in Aries; and Chiron in Pisces. Its a bit like having a lot of people gathered in one room and all sorts of activity happening outside and because of that it is hard to hear.

There are several different agendas being promoted at the same time. It can be hard to focus on one specific conversation and it may be very easy to feel overwhelmed or frustrated. This isn't anything superficial, this is a time of trying to really find strength, direction and clarity - so the more prepared we are, the better.

The line-up in Scorpio, especially the Saturn-Mercury alignment on Tuesday, tells us there's something important to be learned at this great gathering of planetary energies. Remember that Mercury is retrograde right now, so it's important that we take the time to review our facts, go inward and rethink our motivations. There is the potential to discover a new and deeper understanding that will affect our choices and how we will move forward.

With Chiron present, especially in opposition to Mars, we're being provided the opportunity to heal our need to always be in control. We may feel our survival depends on having all the answers or being in charge of things, and that is only going to exacerbate our frustrations. Chiron in Pisces is like static in the background and we may find that it interferes with our being able to feel fully in control of the situation. If we listen more closely though, we may discover that the static is actually beautiful music with lyrics that hold important messages. To tap into this, it requires that we let go of how we think it all should go, and that we learn to trust the process.

The alignment of the Sun with the North Node (which represents our collective path of greatest growth) is telling us that it is important to see truth, even if that truth is uncomfortable or disrupts our comfort level and what is most familiar (South Node in Taurus).

Back to Pluto and Uranus, which are squared on Friday (tense aspect); it is important to recognize that they are catalysts, pushing us to leave behind the old ways that have become too confining or that no longer resonate with who we are becoming. Pluto is all about bringing up the old reactions so that we can get clear, once and for all, that we're done with responding to life in the same way. So regardless of how we handle things, we will know that it is time to make adjustments. Uranus, in its role, provides the restlessness, sense of urgency, and courage that then can result in breakthroughs, but it may first manifest as a feeling of crisis and chaos.

Its nice that on Saturday, retrograde Mercury is conjunct the North Node and then by Sunday, we will come in contact with energies that represent new beginnings. Taking the themes of the week in sequence, we can see the cosmic wisdom and how it is truly all set up to serve our highest interests, which is part of the incredible Love that is inherent in the Universe, who we co-create with.

New understanding and insights, and a willingness to trust the process, can lead to a shift in our perceptions and attitudes (Pluto-Uranus), which in turn lead to the opportunity to start walking a new path (Solar Eclipse). It will allow us to start bringing with us more appropriate perceptions and more comfortable and useful supplies for the adventure ahead. It is a time to really recognize what has not worked for us and what aspects we forgot or neglected to illuminate and what we should leave behind for good.

Remembering one's self-worth, no matter what one's social status or what the programmings and conditionings out there dictate, keeping one's individual integrity and not falling into the energy of the lowest common denominator and adhering to a personal code of honor and higher standards that go beyond social norms and is more connected to spiritual wisdom and maturity ~ are all great things to focus on this week.

Any personal stuff involved in this conglomerate picture for you?

It seems to me that everyone's charts are involved in a lot of this, which is fitting since the "mundane" picture is the ongoing pluto/uranus square.

Venus will be on the GC for the eclipse in any case
