Does having a composite north node in the 4th house mean that two people will be very drawn to start a family? Could it also mean that they obsessively try but are just not able to for some reason?

I think you would have a lot of fun creating a home together, but it does not necessarily have to be in the physical. Fourth House is also introspection, so creating a home or foundation psychologically would be just as beneficial. Your souls would want you to see each other for who you are inside, and the outcome of the physical home would then reflect who you really are. What a stable foundation you could build for future growth!

I would think that the North Node composite in the 4th House shows the desire to acquire a home, vehicles, furniture and things of that nature. The difficult-to-achieve obsession would be with those things.

Kids would be 5th House. NN in 4th doesn't show the same difficulty in getting kids as NN in 5 but if you want starting a family to be very planned and you want that stable foundation I can see how it would look like a 4th House issue.
