There's a few people on this website who have exalted chart rulers. It must be fortunate to have one IP: Logged |

I have Sagittarius rising and Jupiter/uranus in Sagittarius in the 12th and they all conjunct...would that mean my chart ruler is exalted?? If this does mean that my chart ruler is exalted I can't say that my life is better than anyone else's in any way but I do hope that his means that I have jupiter protecting me.
What would it mean in my case you think if my chart ruler is exalted?? IP: Logged |

^ Yep, I think so.I suppose it would make one quite comfortable with themselves (body, appearance) and would probably not hinder their personal development much (unless afflicted or retrograde). IP: Logged |

The Chart ruler is the planet that rules your ascendant, then the Chart dominant is the planet with the most influence in the chart. An exalted placement or chart ruler, is a sign that is with its home planet or in its home sign, say a Sagittarius Ascendant with Jupiter conjunct, or a Capricorn Ascendant with Saturn conjunct, Sun in Leo 5th house etc ... Cap Ascendant here.I have Saturn in 26 Sagittarius, 12th House. I checked on Lilly's table of essential dignities and debilities, and it's dignified by triplicity and term (don't know if we use Lilly's table for natal charts, though). Saturn is also widely conjunct to my Asc Axis (5º orb). Is that relevant at all? IP: Logged |

Depends on who you ask.I personally don't pay much attention to traditional astrology and the whole "triplicity / term / face" thing; but it probably has some value. I think what's interesting here is that your ASC ruler (Saturn) actually conjuncts your ASC, but from the 12th. So you may have some presence but at the same time, a part of you remains "hidden" or hard to access, even to yourself. IP: Logged |

A conjunction from H12 is an applying conjuction; it's stronger. The natal points react to and differentiate applying/separating aspects.

I see what you mean, but in my experience, a planet in the 12th - even in applying conjunction to the ASC - is still not operating at full power. IP: Logged |

Yes, H12 is a latent house, by and large. IP: Logged |

Well, I also have Uranus (4º, in H12) and Neptune (5º, in H1) conjunct my Ascendant. Actually, yesterday I just asked about my dominant planet/sign here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum11/HTML/008955.html . You can see my chart there, if you want. This is basically how my Saturn in the H12 manifests in my life: quote: Fear of the unknown and of being overwhelmed or controlled by emotions may be the source of your general anxiety in life. It can be difficult for you to submit to the idea that you may need help from others, preferring instead to withdraw and handle your problems in solitude. The idea of exposing your innermost feelings makes you feel painfully vulnerable and dependent on others. http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/saturninhouses.html
Also: quote: Saturn in Sagittarius is serious when it comes to philosophy, education and religion. They are highly principled, believing that people earn their achievements through hard work. Reputation is very important to them. (...) Sagittarius Saturn must learn to trust. They may be open and honest, or careless, rebellious and indecisive. (...) They may need to judge more carefully or learn what is appropriate and what is not. http://www.alwaysastrology.com/saturn-in-sagittarius.html
Everyone always tells me that I appear to be more serious/older than I am. And that I need to let go and have some fun sometimes, lol. IP: Logged |

filleaspirant,Try the Simple chart delineation by Pullen on astro.com, or the Color Horoscope to find out your strongest planet(s). It can give you an idea (not necessarily 100% accurate but still). IP: Logged |

I know, Doux, I've tried it and Saturn is ranked #1. Don't know if I feel Saturnian, though, since I have a crazy Leo Venus 8H that dominates pratically all my relationships when activated. IP: Logged |

Oh! Well, that makes sense, since you have it square Pluto. It doesn't mean that it's the *strongest* planet *overall* in your personality, however...I guess you just need to take an objective look at yourself and see how you react / behave in most situations in your life - is it spontaneous reaction? Cautious? Emotional? Detached? Etc, etc. IP: Logged |

Hmm, Pluto Conjuncts your Anti-Vertex as well...Vertex and Part of Fortune both Venus-Ruled. I really think you are working on bringing things to their Higher Octave, which would include both of your House-Ruled Planets. IP: Logged |
