i was reading an astrology book from the 80s today (will get the title if anyone cares).. anyway, it mentioned that some of the best marriages are formed when the mercury signs are square to one another. anyone care to explain why this might be so? (the book didn't explain it very well!). I have had a partner with a venus square to mercury and another with a moon square to mercury, and the communication(s) were awful. how is possible that two mercury signs square would be good? I would (normally) have interpreted that in synastry as bad communication all aroundIP: Logged |

One reason can be because there is more complexity to make the relationship more fun because the two different Mercuries will not understand each other, so there's more spontaneity an adventure in a sense when they communicate. They will learn things from completely new perspectives from one another.IP: Logged |

I have this aspect with someone in synastry (my mercury/venus conjunction square his mercury) and our communication is wonderful. We push each other way out our comfort zones intellectually, and the result is some of the most stimulating conversations I have ever had. Once we start talking to each other we find it hard to stop, it is like we can't get enough. It is challenging, yes, but literally anything goes and it is so refreshing to be able to communicate with someone who allows you to be completely authentic at the same time as turning your perspective upside down. We do understand each other very well, probably more so than most other people in our lives. Addictive.IP: Logged |
