So we are three fire gals who share a house aka living under the same house.with me me being a quadruple Sag ( SUN-Mars-Venus-Mercury), the oldest being a double Aries( SUN-ASC) and the youngest a triple Leo ( SUN-Moon-Mercury), I can't begin to tell you how crazy living together is LOL We have added another girl who is the same age as me. She is a Cancer Sun/Scorpio Moon/ ASC unknown. She suffers from a social Anxiety Disorder. We have been trying to help her fit in by including her in our jokes and in our hang-outs but nothing seems to work. She is way too shy and it has already been a month since she moved in. She is a sweet gal but I hate how distant she seems. I consider myself and my roommates as one crazy family and I want her to part of it. What to do ? Should I leave her alone ? or be more patient with her ? She doesn't have any friends and her social life is almost non-existent and that bothers me. I want to see her laugh and loosen up once in a while, she is too serious/rigid for her age. IP: Logged |

She suffers from Social Anxiety Disorder Does she really have a disorder or were you making a joke?
I wouldn't include her as in force her to be part of your conversations as I can imagine that's overwhelming for a shy Cancer. It's a nice gesture, but it's not her scene. Let her just observe you guys and when you DO interact with her whether as a group or one on one just make sure to be extra trustworthy, mature, and warm. IP: Logged |

Sounds like a bad idea to me , does she have any fire in her chart? If she doesn't want to loosen up then maybe you should leave her alone. IP: Logged |

I'd never joke about something like that !! She does, her older sister, who is my Leo roommate sister's best friend, told us so. She said she suffers from it since childhood and she thought by making her live with us temporarily, she might learn to be less " closed-off". IP: Logged |

I have an experience with people who have disorders as I have a very close relative who is autistic and we managed to have a great relationship. maybe you're right and I should leave her alone. IP: Logged |

A month is nothing, if someone is shy or insecure. She probably needs more time to get to know you and feel comfortable around you. Give her time. I need time to open up to people, too, even if I like them alot (especially if I do, I guess). And the more someone is pushing me, the more I am closing down. IP: Logged |

Is this the same Cancer sun you wrote the other post about? Yes, help her fit in, try to be understanding. Cancers love understanding people who reassure them.I notice people with a concentration in one triplicity, air for example, like others with the same sorta pattern, so it doesn't surprise me your room mates and you all have fire sign emphasis and feel at ease with one another. I like people with lots of planets/sun/moon in air and I have air emphasis. I find them easier to communicate with. IP: Logged |

For an introvert, the idea of "joining in all the fun" is a fate worse than death and will send them into instant paralysis. If you want her to feel at home you need to do it slowly, one on one. No group anything. Then you will find she will gradually open up and you might find surprising depth of character hidden inside her, esp with her sun/moon combo. As her trust grows, her fun side will emerge, but it takes time. Good on you for being so caring....she probably needs a little fire in her life.I'm a introvert with hardly any fire in my chart and I adore my fire dominant friends. In fact, my closest friends just about always turn out to be aries/sag/leo. They get me off my butt, and although you won't ever find me at the karaoke mike or dancing the fandango, I still am a lot more social with them than what I would be without them. IP: Logged |

No, she is not the same person. Yup, your observation is spot on, we did gravitate towards one another from day one even though we were actually strangers IP: Logged |

*singing* The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire, I don't need no water, let the mother*****r burn, burn mother*****r, buuuurn...I loooove Fire girls! My top5 best friends are: 2 Aries, 1 Leo, 1 Sag and 1 Pisces with tons of Aries and Leo When we meen, we have the best times ever. I shared an apartment with one of the Aries girls, while the Pisces/Aries girl was our 3rd part. People used to call us "Charlie's Angels" Now we all live in 3 different countries, and even though we all have relationships, and lives in our new places, we are so inseparable. We are moving in the same region in 2 years. The Sag girls already lives there. So we plan to have RV and travel around, all 4 of us I love girls with fire in them, they are fun, supportive, protective, and are just the best friends ever. I'll miss my other Leo and Aries girls, but maybe they can join us some time. As for the poor Cancer soul... sucks to be her I really hope she has some fire or air to join you girls. IP: Logged |
