It's not only about Cancer, is it?

I think men with Capricorn moons want / expect this. Pisces moons, Taurus moons. Libra moons maybe.

Depends on what you mean by mothering. For example, Taurus likes to be fed, and in some (but not all) definitions then he is needing to be mothered.

That said, lots of guys turn to females for emotional support they can't get from other guys (which might be seen as a need for mothering)...but it's complicated in that some of the men fake doing this to play women as many women enjoy seeing a man's "hidden" side (so that "he's not a jerk, just misunderstood, and I can change him by helping him become who he really is") which helps to get into her pants. I don't doubt some guys do a bit of both at the same time.

Players are players. I'm talking about a real need and I mean both doing practical things like cooking and emotional support. Or even motherly-like affection.

I would think that most people would like a little nurturing here and there. The Moon is a natural significator for the kind of woman he wants. I think the Moon just describes what kind of nurturing you can give and you want in return.

Personally, with my Moon in Capricorn 10th House, it's hard for me to cuddle for a long time but someone I know with the Moon in Capricorn 1st House is excellent at cuddling. I think the Aries nature of the 1st House offsets the natural Capricorn restriction that I experience.

That said, I'm excellent at managing the nurturing of a person or animal. I like to deal with the responsibilities of nurturing but not so much with all the touchy feely side of it. The other Capricorn Moon seems to forget feeding their animals on time but will literally spoon with their dog in a big cuddle fest. Ha

So you would need to take into account the sign and house his Moon sits in and then determine his nurturing needs.

In that case you should ask which placement does NOT need a woman to mother him sometimes.

Gods, I have some hilarious stories about this, both my experiences and what so many other women have shared with me about their guys. Example is one guy says he's going to make pancakes but within 5 minutes a woman is making it for him because he played the idiot (which a guy said was an old guy trick of playing the fool to get a woman to wait on him) holding a box of bisquik and asking if all you need is water and acting all confused by using milk and eggs. Finally, she makes the pancakes for him just to save her kitchen she just cleaned from being messed up and he asks for a glass of milk to go with the pancakes.

The sign Cancer/the 4th house somehow being connected to their Venus or Desc (and Moon).

For example, they could have any of the following placements:

~ Venus in Cancer or the 4th house
~ Ruler of Venus in Cancer or the 4th house
~ Desc (or Secondary Desc) in Cancer
~ Desc (or Secondary Desc) ruler in Cancer or in the 4th house
~ Moon falling in the 7th house (or in the Secondary 7th)
~ Moon positively aspecting the Desc ruler (or Secondary Desc ruler)
~ Moon in Cancer or in the 4th house
~ Moon conjunct Venus

Ok, so who needs it more than an average man? I mean especially support and affection. And who would appreciate cooking etc. a lot etc but doesn't demand it nor pretends to be helpless all the time.

I should've put it in a different way. What in a man's chart indicates he would appreciate a lot a motherly behaviour toward him more than an average man would?

Btw, as far as I know some guys tend to get irritated by it.

*claps* So true Pixie.

I've actually had this trick played on me since I was a kid.

It's actually VERY hard for me to refuse making food for someone if they act helpless but damn, I'm such a sucker! Haha
