You seem incisive like Scorpio though. IP: Logged |

What is it related to in modern astro? childhood? Your Moon helps you IMO. Is your Pluto afflicted? IP: Logged |

H4 is your sanctuary and private safety, to me. In the past, your family was your protection and support circle, but nowadays, people are much more independent. I find H4 people aren't so much family-oriented, but rather need their private quarters to retreat to (which can often even just be their own heads!) and often have only a very small amount of close ties. But the IC still does provide insight to childhood, effects of the past, and family life - H4 itself seems much more broad to me than that, however. That's probably how the fourth house stellium shows up, along with sun and personal planets in Pisces. IP: Logged |

I've always thought of fourth house people being happiest in their own homes in their own spaces, with familiar belongings and people around them, even if the people are friends, not family. They like going to the same places and feel kinda strange in unfamiliar environments. They might prefer going to the same neighborhood restaurant they went with their families as children, for instance, instead of going to a new one. It's about familiarity and personalization instead of feeling lost in an unknown environment where they don't know anyone. IP: Logged |

I'm a Sag who doesn't like to be away from home for too long. And although I like to go out and have a good time, I don't like big parties, strangers or meeting new people makes me very nervous and I really hate crowds. RE: 4th house, I learned that 4H was not only family but also as you say support structures (could it be who we consider out family? Like "Friends"), environment (where you retreat to, where is your sanctuary) and heritage (culture, roots, ethnicity). Kind of like where you lay your hat is your "home". lol

Yeah, 4th house is traditionally ruled by Moon which is related to moodiness. IP: Logged |

I'm a cancer sun/Cappy moon and not at all family-oriented. I've also spent my twenties living abroad and travelling all by myself and didn't see most of my family for years. Had a great time, would love to do it again. And another one: My 26 y/o ex bf was an Aqua Sun/Gemini Moon and left me because I wasn't ready to settle down and form a family. I was 29 at the time. Go figure..lol

Yeah, well I can recognize some of this… for an example I always pick the same sort of Ice-cream (chocolate and vanilla) because I know this works:P But when eating out in a restaurant I never pick the same one, I can't stand being the same place 2 times… I'm just like "What if the next one I visit is even better" In general I also think like this…"what if there is something out there I'm missing out? Gotta try something new" Maybe it's my uranus and mercury influence who makes me different IP: Logged |

What about being proud of your home town or where you grew up? That's the kind of thinking that goes with the fourth house. Patriotism, too, and being proud of who one is. IP: Logged |

No I'm not…I'm not gonna be the one to defend my home country at all:S I'm nothing like 4th house… I even like some of my closest friends more than my family, the only person I'm close with from my family is my mother, and that is actually very 4th house, the moon is also my chart ruler:P

And everyone with a 4th house stellium loves to live out in the countryside where they can play their good old country music and wear traditional cloth and go to church every sunday…. IP: Logged |

You don't have to go so far to defend it, like, in the military or something like that, just proud of where you grew up, liking to acknowledge it. For example, you like to say, "I grew up in so-and-so and we had this place..." I've met people who like to go on and on about where they grew up and they get all homesick. Maybe it's easier to tell if you move far away. I am sure such people have fourth house something.IP: Logged |

I don't like my home town. I'm not attached to my country. I'm nor proud nor ashamed to have been born here. My 4th house something is Mercury, Uranus and Lilith. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |
