I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of transits can trigger depression ( and I am referring to the actual major depression as it is called in medical books) ? Or if it was more something you can predict from the natal chart?IP: Logged |

I've heard saturn transiting through the 4th house can do this too, being that the 4th house also has to do with emotional and psychological foundations.IP: Logged |

I haven't heard that about pluto crossing an angle but I definitely have to agree with saturn aspecting the moon in a difficult way.IP: Logged |

When I went though depression I had transit Saturn and transit pluto touching my natal t-square simultaneously. Natally I have: Libra Sun/merc/mars conjunct, squaring Jupiter and sat/Uranus/Neptune in cap. Jupiter and the cap stellium opposite each other.Transit Saturn was conjunct my libra stellium, squaring my Jupiter and outer cap stellium. And transit Pluto was conjunct my outer cap stellium, squaring my libra stellium, and opposite my natal Jupiter. Oh but it doesn't end there. Then a about a year later, I start going through CRAZY anger issues +the already existing depression when transit Uranus was opposite my libra stellium, and squaring my Jupiter and Capricorn stellium. So i had transit Pluto, Saturn and uranus whipping me all at the same time. Great ******* times I tell you. Just great! Now I have transit Saturn about to conjunct my natal Venus/Pluto in the 8th house. I might just off myself when that happens lol. I've been feeling great soo far though IP: Logged |

You can see depression in the Natal Chart. Sometimes with a preponderance of water signs. Water signs = mood swings.Occasionally, a person who is not prone to depression can go through a depressive/reflective period. This usually happens when they have an event that serves as a "wake up call" Here they re-evaluate their lives/choices/paths. These are usually triggered by an Outer Planet Conjunction. ------------------

That's what happened to me. Despite how shittty my life was during that time, I truly came out a new person after that.. It's unreal how much about me has changed since. and not just me, but the people around me too. a lot of hidden secrets came to light. everything hidden in the closet was forced out. to be dealt with, finally. Had I not gone through that I probably stilly be stuck in Lala land still feeling lost, and like a complete waste of space. IP: Logged |

I've been feeling depressed lately and Pluto is sitting on my IC with Uranus sitting on my DC squaring each other! Neptune is squaring my Sun....Saturn is in good aspect to my moon, it's not in hard aspect to anything right now! I've been really down and I never get depressed, if I do I can bounce out of it within a day, I just can't shake this though it's been over a week maybe longer!

There would be soo many planetary configurations. I guessing saturn and pluto and neptune would be involved with most of them.I was really depressed in 2011 when saturn was in the 5th house was opposite my mars and squaring natal Neptune/uranus. My s.o left me after we got into a huge insane fight. Plus I couldn't get enough finances to go to the college of my choice.. So I was like **** it and I moved across the country and tried to "find" myself for about a year. It probably did not help that in late 2012 my progressed moon was in Pisces.. which probably contributed to all the drinking. Ever since saturn entered 6th things have gone back to normal. The way it was before saturn entered my 5th house. Should be interesting when saturn touches my natal pluto... IP: Logged |

Next to Tr Saturn, Tr Neptune can trigger this as well, as challenging aspects can make you feel like the ground beyond your feet (and basically your life) simply dissolves.Only on real bad neptunian days of course. IP: Logged |

I've been struggling for a few months now, but December has definitely been the lowest... - Saturn conjunct MC, square Mercury, opposite Mars. - Uranus square natal Saturn in 12H - Neptune opposite Mercury, square Mars and MC - Pluto conjunct Saturn in 12H - Chiron opposite Mercury, Venus and square Mars all of the big fellas are hitting me in the face. Progressed chart is also some major squares from Saturn and Chiron. IP: Logged |

I'm currently on the upswing. November and December were pretty awful. T Pluto is sitting on my natal Neptune and has been for a while. Neptune is my chart ruler, and aspects my Sun, Mercury and Venus in my natal chart. T Saturn is also hanging out in my 10th and monkeying around with my MC. T Saturn is also squaring my Virgo stellium. T Neptune sitting on my ASC was hard at first, but I'm getting used to it. T Chiron, however, is a little more difficult to deal with. It's also conjunct my ASC. I also looked back to a chart from 9 years ago, when I was depressed: - T Saturn conjunct my Virgo stellium - T Jupiter conjunct my MC & squaring my Virgo placements - T Chiron conjunct my NN - T Uranus conjunct my ASC - T Pluto & Mars conjunction crossing through my 10th house IP: Logged |
