What placements/overlays/aspects do you think could be responsible for one person having the natural effect of building another's confidence/ego without really doing too much? (That's a long question!! lol)

Example, there is a person at work (they are married aka off limits). As soon as we met it was instantaneous. They do complement me frequently. Always greet me with a big smile. They used to ask me why I'm single (indicating their attraction and wonder as to why such a good "catch" is without) I choose to be single.
Now this person, I feel is just gorgeous and with a wonderful personality. I see them as way above and beyond "my league". Yet, normally when I would be nervous around such a person. Just being around THIS person, I not only do not feel nervous. I feel confident, attractive, even sexy.
It's unusual. It definitely feels like some other force (Astrology) at play. Normally I'd be fumbling all over myself. LOL

Jupiter feels good.
Especially soft aspects like Sun trine jupiter in synastry.

I love the generation with jupiter in libra/leo especially the ones that trines/sextiles my Sun.

People over look jupiter in synastry.

Positive jupiter aspects in synastry boosts confidence ime.
You're so awesome type of feeling.

Huh, I'll be.

There is their Jupiter square my Venus. It's a square, but still an aspect I guess.
My Jupiter conjunct their Mercury.
Not to mention there are 10 Venus and/or Mars aspects including Venus square Mars (ouch) and Moon conjunct Venus.

With the square they could be a fair-weather friend..
Venus/jupiter in general feels good but with benefic planets squares always seem more harsh at the end..
I don't trust jupiter squares in synastry... I've been betrayed by the jupiter person.

With Jupiter conjunct mercury their words would reflect the optimism they feel around you!

Moon conjunct venus is extra sweet so maybe there's not much to worry about!

My best friend in High school, people warned me about her and how she's not trust worthy but her Jupiter trines my Venus exact and I use to tell her everything in confidence and she always stayed true.

Nice. Thanks!
I'll watch for that Jupiter square in the future. Actually going to look for it in previous relationships to see how it matches up.
Not that anyone should really make decisions based on an aspect. I just am not very trusting to start with and betrayal is a major mistake.

Agree with Venus/Jupiter flowing aspects.

And Kerosene about the Jupiter squares... They can be quite lethal. Don't underestimate the negative effect of the "benefics".

On topic:

The 2nd house is usually involved when someone builds your confidence. The 2nd house is the house of Venus, of values, and self-esteem. So if your planets fall in their 2nd, or vice versa, that would definitely add to it.

Let me be the odd one out and disagree. I always loved Venus-Jupiter-squares! Loved loved loved

However, the problem with Jupiter in square or opposition is, it just, it gets TOO MUCH.

Much like Uranus-square it pumps up the volume so much, it sometimes can have disastrous results. It is like blowing up poor Venus until she explodes. Or implodes depending on Venus.

Personally for me, yes Jupiter-aspects have that genuine uplifiting effect, certain Uranus-aspects can have as well like Uranus to Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, ASC (though Uranus to Moon might only be fun for me, cause my Moon is in Aquarius; a scorpio Moon or Taurs Moon might not be so keen on that. lol)

The guy who has the most uplifting influence on me, we have a T-square including both Jupiters, it is amazing though how energized and uplifted I always feel in his presence.

His Jupiter: 10 Virgo
his Mars: 11 Virgo
his Amor: 9 Virgo

my Jupiter: 11 Pisces
my Ceres: 9 Pisces
his Eros: 8 Pisces

his Mercury: 9 Sag
his Musa: 9 Sag
my ASC: 7 Sag
my Neptune: 9 Sag
my NN: 10 Sag

But in our case there is a mutual reception going on with that T-square, and we both have a Jupiter-square natally (mine is to Neptune, his is to MErcury, interestingly both are 3rd house rulers natally).

The mutual reception is between his Jupiter and my Mercury (though it is not part of the T-square) and my Jupiter and his Neptune (though it is not part of the T-squrae - but they are conjunct each other and both Suns, it is really fun).

Good thought!

His Venus actually falls into my 2nd house (right on the midpoint of my Moon/Venus and Jupiter/Neptune-mps)
