If, for instance, the Capricorn cusp in in the 3rd house,Saturn rules it. So the affairs of the 3rd house now come to the 1st.

What does that mean?

This means that there is a likelihood that you may start taking an avid interest in the world around you, you may start to be more curious about people/their motives and their opinions. Your siblings may affect you now more than ever and they may impact a lot on how you see yourself etc.

What house does your Uranus rule(cusp of Aquarius)? This house, whose affairs have always been brought to the first house, will be affected by the conjunction to Saturn and the house that Saturn rules.

It may be that the two houses and their respective themes overlap at this time.

Taken on the surface,Saturn conjunct Uranus in 1st house means that there may be some "grounding" of ideas/hopes and dreams.

Your thinking pattern may be slowed and there may be less openness to ideas that are too zany and you may write some things off as being "too unrealistic".
