Starting something new with old lover during venus retrograde?

But what about starting something new with a past lover? Is that doomed as well?

As others have said Venus retrograde seems to work better with previous lovers or even old friends. I know of a couple that finally got together after both having different relationships for years until last year's retrograde.
With new relationships during the venus retrograde your judgement regarding a new person may be hindered. You may find out something about them later that would have caused you not to enter a relationship with them. Just as your not suppose to make drastic cosmetic/beauty changes during this retrograde either.

Why do i hear different things about this?

So as i understand it, new realtionships that start during venus rx are doomed yet old lovers rx is good for it? Will the relationship that starts during rx with an old lover have a venus rx theme?

There really is no black or white answer to this. Even if you renew a old relationship during Venus retrograde thay doesn't guarantee it will last. Venus retrograde are also time for closure regarding those past relationships as well. Sometimes you will reconnect with someone you were heartbroken over but then you realize that, that particular relationship needed to end for a good reason. Venus retrograde resolves old negative energy.
New relationships during Venus retrograde aren't indefinitely doomed because technically if you did begin dating a old friend during that time technically if your relationship never made it to the next step then it's "new". I haven't seen many successful relationships starting during venus retrograde just as I haven't seen many successful sexual relationships last after mars retrograde.

If a ex lover returns you never had a relationship with, but were and still are in love with eachother, though not together, if you start getting serious during venus retrograde, will this be seen as starting a new relationship? In that sense it's true.. Starting a new relationship, however not with a 'new' person, but someone from the recent past you're in love with but never gotten to the stage for labeling boyfriend girlfriend, it never got off the ground

Noooo! Speaking from personal experience - In the beginning of the retrograde you will think said person is perfect. By the end of the retrograde you will realize said person is far from perfect and not the one for you (or this might happen vice versa with you getting dumped).

Yes, ex friends and lovers tend to show up and disappear again just as quick. My advice- stay away from starting a relationship, buying big ticket items and having any kind of cosmetic procedures done (no new hairstyles and definitely no plastic surgery.)
