When someone has a transpersonal planet conjunct the ascendant or in first house, in which ways do you think it'sdifferent as having a personal planet?? Do you think it's true you have to look more at the aspects that planet has?? For me, the planet in question is important (personal or transpersonal). Maybe people with this can own that planet for them?? I would like to know what u thinkIP: Logged |

I can't speak from a personal point of view, but I think that any outer / generational planet in the 1st house, especially conjunct the ASC, makes the themes of that planet very present in that person's life, because they tend to give out that energy and therefore get it back.So for example, someone with Uranus in the 1st would be very independent and could be rebellious / anti-authority, and in turn could attract unstable situations in which their own erratic energy could be expressed. Or maybe they'd attract oppressive situations so as to work on their need for freedom / independence... hm. I think having a personal planet conjunct the ASC, it's easier to 'own' it and master it, use it and work with it. Whereas with the transpersonal ones, it seems that things are just out of your control. IP: Logged |

I can give you so much first hand knowledge on this. I feel as if my life is very impersonal and I have never had really close, meaningful relationships although everyone knows my name, knows who I am, and has from an early age. I have Jupiter and Uranus on my ascendant conjunct Pluto. My life has benefited others, too. IP: Logged |

Doux Rève: So, you think when it is a generational planet it doesn't really belongs to you....but, do you think it makes it stronger when that planet has aspects from personal planes?? When you said uranus Natalie Portman came to my mind, she has uranus in scorpio conjunct her ascendant....for example what do you see in her?? Did you ever watched Black Swan??StarlightSmileSupreme: Woww in your case it's more difficult to understand, you have a lot of planets in first house, two transpersonal and jupiter....do you think you "represent" that part of....your generation?? Like it's in first house, it's outside you, you incarnate that energy forothers?? IP: Logged |

They are in twelve very closely conjunct the ascending degree starting with Jupiter. I feel disconnected from my generation and am very independent. I don't feel comfortable being associated with my generation and want to go out on my own, be my own person, discover my own labels, genres, brands, whatever you want to call it. I have a need to be this way. I want to be different. I have Uranus as part of my ascendant stellium and it's conjunct Pluto .

Judy,The fact that an outer planet is in the 1st automatically makes it 'strong' in the individual's personality. But if it's aspected by personal planets, it becomes even more 'integrated' in the personality and therefore easier or more difficult to use (depends on the aspects - flowing: trine & sextile and sometimes the conjunction; or hard: squares, oppositions and some conjunctions). I think the nature of the planet will always be prominent in the person who has it in the 1st house... Natalie Portman definitely has a "misfit" vibe, in my opinion, albeit a pretty subtle one. Same goes for Starlight on here, I can sense the Uranus/Jupiter/Pluto/ in her - even though it's not very obvious - she seems "different" from other people on here, a bit less easy to "categorize" (which is not a bad thing!). DouxRêve i like the way you explain things....in others words, for you, the person with any planet in first incarnates that energy for others? And if it is a transpersonal, then that person would have the energy of the thoughts of his/her generation and "be" that specific planet. Can i ask you which is your rising sign and sun..??IP: Logged |

Haha, thank you, Judy! Aw, that's awesome. Sun/1st house connections are usually great. You don't come across as a Scorpio ASC though - what aspects does your ASC make? And what else is going on in your chart? You give off a pretty firey vibe, to me. Something energetic, mobile. IP: Logged |

It's the Jupiter, sweet one. Jupiter does that, haha! It's been a looong time since I last talked to a Cancer. Used to be surrounded by Cancers some time ago. Aren't your Cancer planets in the 9th house? That'd also give a Jupiterian vibe. IP: Logged |

Yes, that's what I thought. You have a strong Jupiterian vibe - it's your Sun conjunct Jupiter and the 9th house planets, because the 9th house is ruled by Jupiter. It means you are a more "firey" Cancer - more spontaneous, more goofy, and more interested in learning about bigger things and maybe other cultures and travel. quote: Sun in the 9th House:You have a deep need to understand the world around you. You have high ideals and you have your eye on what's on the horizon. You are looking ahead, and at times can seem quite restless. You are proud of your knowledge and of your morals. Be sure to avoid self-righteousness in your enthusiasm to share your knowledge. When used correctly, you are a tolerant, adventurous, and curious person, and you want to see the best in people and in life. Alternate Interpretation: Your thirst for learning extends beyond the classroom. You acquire much of your knowledge from people of different cultures or in foreign lands. You probably have a flair for languages, making you valuable as a translator. It is possible you will earn more than one academic degree, and function as a teacher. One of your most admirable qualities is that, by touching the lives of others, you will come to understand that all men are brothers, separated only by self-imposed restrictions. Share your wisdom to overcome prejudice and the bigotry which impedes the spiritual growth of all.-

Ah, Sun opposite Saturn & Neptune, you're part of the late 80's / early 90's kids, uh? Good luck with finding your identity, lol.Your Sun is in both houses - 8 & 9. Let's say that it sits in the 8th, but is technically "looking forward" to entering the 9th... and thus has traits of both houses. IP: Logged |

When the Sun is afflicted in a chart, especially when it touches the outer planets like in your case - the planet of restriction (Saturn) and the planet of dreams and illusions (Neptune), it can be difficult to figure yourself out - it's easy to see yourself in an unclear manner, with over-inflated flaws or qualities that you don't have (the distortion is caused by the opposition, which is a hard aspect). So, it may take you some time to fully understand what you want, what you're capable of and what you can achieve! But don't be afraid, you're young, and most young people go through that kind of thing. =) IP: Logged |

Sorry to hear that. Do you do any creative work? Music, painting, writing? Dancing maybe? I think it'd be a good idea.Sextiles (or trines) are definitely supportive and make the energy flow easily. In your case, it seems to be going back to self-expression: the ASC is our personality and the 'lens' through which we express our desires and needs. So, with Saturn and Neptune sextile your ASC, and your Sun, Jupiter and Mercury trine your ASC, there's a need for you to express yourself in a concrete, physical (Saturn) and creative (Neptune) way.
