Possible manifestation would be repression of emotions which could eventually lead to negative manifestations such as irritability / anger / depression / moodiness.

He should be encouraged to express his emotions in a calm way, not exaggerate them or repress them.

He shouldn't have much trouble expressing himself because he has Moon conjunct Mercury and sextile ASC - both very good for expression.

So I wouldn't be too worried.

Maybe it just means that he needs security (Cap) and some time alone for introspection (12th) or enjoys fantasizing / exploring the spiritual world (12th house, Jupiter trine).

Don't worry about it.

Sounds about right. I am a H3 Cap Moon and we can be all by ourselves, dabbling in things that interest us and that are, in our tender perception, "grown up". You'll end up having a very daredevil-ish and competent child, because we do stuff other kids don't - they are so silly, and we are not.

I am thinking he'll be very sensitive to other people's needs, and be extra giving. Things in the 12th house we tend to shrug off. So Moon in 12th house - other people come first, he comes second.

Yes, he already is a daredevil! At three he was riding a pedal bike with no training wheels, up and down ramps at the skate park. i'm due to have some heart attacks in my life for sure!

I also have a cap moon, in the 8th. So while I understand that grown up feeling and being very competent, I don't quite know how it is going to manifest in the 'hidden' 12th.

Anyone have any insights regarding this placement?

He seems to be very expressive, though not overly emotional, or rather he manages his emotions well. His moon is opposite his mars and very loosely conjunct mercury and ASC. trine jupiter. sextile uranus.

any input is much appreciated….i want to make sure i understand this position to fullest, in order to help him to best i can!

It's very nice with all those positive aspects. People overlook this. He will manifest the energy in a positive way and he have opportunities to learn and grow. He could have to deal with some pretty strong emotions constructively.

H12 = a latent house. You have to acknowledge it. You have to provoke the residing planet(s). Nurture him. Spoil him. Make him take care of his needs. Feed him with arts. Always ask about his needs. Moon rules memory : ask him to remember things and describe them, and say how he feels about them. Indulge him - so when he find something he truly likes, he can fully employ his Sun & Mars energy into pursing the goal associated with his needs. This in turn will awake his instincts, for both Mars and Moon rule instincts, just different facets (I used to think this is solely Mars' doing). So, one planet would pull the other planet along. Fire is everything.

@VenusDiSirius
Thank you for that. That's exactly the kinda advice i was seeking.
At the end of everyday, while we cuddle, I ask him about his day, have him recall events, and talk about how he felt. I want to make sure that I am never ignoring his feelings, just because he isn't forward in expressing them.

It is interesting to watch him in a group. If he hurts himself, or someone treats him poorly, he'll continue on trying to make the best of it it, but as soon as someone else gets hurt or is treated poorly, he runs over to me to tell me about it, with great concern,

it's admirable really, but i definitely don't want him to get walked on or start burying things.

Hi Lalinda, thank you.

I just read up on his sun conjunct neptune aspect.
it sounds good, but also gives him the tendency to be led astray or believe to easily in other's integrity.

gotta make sure he know's how to stand up for himself!
