I'm a proud INFP and I can definitely see the relationship between my birth chart and my personality type. In fact, They seem as nothing but a reflection of each other. For example, I'm a very introverted person. I think inwardly and I live in my own head most of the time. This is a common traits among INFP's. When I look at my birth chart I find that ALL of my planets, outer and inner, are below the horizon, clustered around my IC. I have a Virgo ASC, a Libra Moon and a Sag Sun. all those placements mirror the typical idealism of INFP's. How about you guys ? IP: Logged |

I am an ENFP! I don't know about total reflection, but I think they can be found in some of my chart...E = Leo Mars/AC N = Libra Mercury F = Scorpio Venus/Sun/Jupiter/Pluto P = Aquarius Moon That's just going by placements and not including aspects or houses lmfao! IP: Logged |

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thought about it,lol. I have even number of planets falling in the upper and lower parts of my chart, but!, my Sun is conjunct my IC. My personality type is INTP. I have looked up all the charts of the people I know their personality type and one common thing I have noticed is that in introverts their Sun falls in the lower half of the chart and extroverts on the upper half. Small sample, but still. @SE Care to elaborate on the Aqua Moon part? *curious*IP: Logged |

Hmmm...I'm not sure. I consistently test as an INTP. When I sit and look at my chart, I think I can actually find a lot of supporting placements for this, but it wouldn't be the first thing that would pop out at me, I don't think. But anyway, INTPs are supposedly very mentally involved, developing and exploring complex theories and systems. INTPs are also meant to be very logical, and to sometimes have a "one-track mind" when honing in on a particular subject of interest. INTPs also hate structure, hierarchy, and authority. I'd definitely say that's true of me, as well. I think that my Virgo Rising, Mercury in the 8th, Moon in the 3rd, Mercury trine Uranus/Neptune, and Mars in Aquarius are really great indicators of this. ------------------ Sun -> Aries Moon -> Sagittarius Ascendant -> Virgo IP: Logged |

lol I've realized this Somethingexellent ! we will likely have a great synastry !! XD --Leo Mars and ASC will Trine my Sag Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury and N.Node. --Libra Mercury will sextile my Sag Mercury and possibly conjunct my Libra Moon. --Scorpio Venus and Sun will likely conjunct my Pluto, my Jupiter and POF. Also, they will likely SEXTILE my Uranus, Neptune and my ASC. -- Aquarius Moon will fall in my 5th, trine my Moon, sextile my Sag Stellium and possibly conjunct my Saturn and Eros. IP: Logged |

My chart suggests an introvert personality. The result from the test says that I'm an ENFP.Extravert(1%) iNtuitive(25%) Feeling(75%) Perceiving(67)% You have marginal or no preference of Extraversion over Introversion (1% I enjoy my alone time, like to swim in my own wonderland. I like socialising too and enjoy human contact/interaction. Love the loud, crowded places, and love the comfort of home. Sometimes I'm loud and outspoken, sometimes I prefer to keep quiet and observe. Just parts of my life, I don't necessarily lean towards one part, or prefer one over the other. quote: live in the world of possibilities, and can become very passionate and excited about thingsThey are good at most things which interest them. Project-oriented, they may go through several different careers during their lifetime. An ENFP needs to feel that they are living their lives as their true Self, walking in step with what they believe is right.
love those quotes about ENFP and find it true in my case. Haha especially the multiple careers and interests. 12th house cap sun/venus, 12th house sag mercury 3rd house aries moon. Cap ascendant. IP: Logged |

Ya sure! But before I give my thoughts, I think it's funny you should mention Sun conjunct IC for introvert because I have that aspect! And I'm really extroverted! Any ways, the way I understand perceiving is that they are very abstract. Judging people want things to be concrete and real so they can understand and build off of it. Perceiving people are okay with things being open and less defined because then they can build off of it by running with it, as opposed to judging people who use it as a firm base. My Aquarius Moon makes me really carefree and laid-back! Real life issues are removed from me and life is so easy to drift through because my Aquarius Moon can zoom out and see the bigger picture for what it is! I don't like things to be controlled and concrete because it feels limiting to me, I want things to be flowing and vague so I have more to sculpt with. I'm also amorous, and I take it this is because I love the idea of things, not the actual person sitting there - which sounds like perceiving to me over judging. That's what I think any who... Ohhhh I always liked situations like these! So you can say that your personality type is aNFP! Little a for ambivert. Same with people who have an equilibrium of the other three features, they could replace the letter with a little x to show there's no strong preference. IP: Logged |

Darn it, this thread has just started, and there are already two exceptions to my rule. I agree with what you're saying about looking at the big picture and disliking restrictions (have aqua moon too), and it does indeed sound like characteristics a perceiver would have. I guess there's a lot more to look in a chart other than general positions of planets in the houses. But I'm too lazy to do that. Will expect what others have to say about their own charts.IP: Logged |

I wanted to bump the MBTI thread...And now you started this thread. Whenever I think about starting / bumping a topic, someone starts that same topic, it's weird but quite fascinating.
- I'm an INFP as well. INFj in socionics. Introverted Feeling / Extraverted Intuition as leading cognitive functions. Very low on Intraverted Thinking and Extraverted Sensing... http://www.cognitiveprocesses.com/16Types/INFP.cfm - I've noticed a heavy Air influence, especially combined with Water, tends to manifest in Intuitive (N) / Perceiving (P) types more often than not. Sensing (S) / Judging (J) types are usually Earthy or with an emphasis on Earth houses / Saturn. Extraverted vs. Introverted - Southern hemisphere emphasis vs. Northern hemisphere. There are other things I haven't thought about but these came to mind first.

Caps - Haha! It may look that way at first... But actually, INFP's and INFJ's have reversed cognitive functions, which makes us very different (despite what most people think, because it may look like both are similar since they only have one different letter). They're often attracted to each other, though. I've had some pretty close friendships with INFJ's. But after some time the differences grow more apparent and can kinda cool off the relationship.

I'm an ISFP.I guess you could say it matches my chart, but then, my chart is such that you could find almost any type in it if you wanted to. Anyway in spite of all the fire and air that I have, I still clearly categorize as an introvert with my Pisces sun and jupiter. And ISFP are supposed to be the most extraverted of all the introverts, which kind of makes sense.

Interesting thread. I find Myers Briggs to be almost as fascinating as astrology so this is a topic I've already given a bit of thought. Originally, I thought there wasn't much overlap because my brother and I have the same ASC, Sun, and Moon signs but when it comes to our Myers Briggs types we are total opposites. However, when I've seen this topic come up on personality forums certain signs and elements repeat themselves over and over again so I definitely think there's some correlation.Anyway, I'm an INFJ and from what I've seen we tend to have charts heavy in fire and water. I'm sure there are a lot of exceptions but that's definitely true in my case. My Sun is in Cancer and my Leo Moon and Mercury are conjunct my IC. Also, Venus, my chart rule, is in Leo in the 4th. So at least in this particular way I appear to be pretty typical INFJ. quote: Originally posted by Doux Rêve: I've had some pretty close friendships with INFJ's. That's interesting because that hasn't been my experience. INTJs are the only type I get along with better than INFPs. I know how you feel though, because that's almost always what happens to me with ENFPs.
