This is something I've noticed in myself.
I tend to be attracted to people who have similar placements to those of my father / mother.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

ETA: Or is that just something people who have unresolved Oedipus / Electra complex have to deal with

Well my boyfriend and I just broke up a couple days ago.

But he is Taurus like my dad
Earth moon like both my parents
Gemini Venus like my mom (same degree)

Note: he's probably most like my than my parents, though. I'm Leo/Taurus/Scorpio with Gem Venus he is Taurus sun/Taurus moon/Scorpio AC/Gemini Venus also Venus conjunct Chiron, Pluto conjunct ASC from 12th and moon conjunct DSC from 6th like me.

Yes. Many of my male friends have been Taurus, like my Dad. Many of my female friends have been Capricorn like my Mom.

I'm now dating a Taurus, who has his Moon in Capricorn. It gets even weirder when you look at his Venus and Mars placements, which are the same as a sibling.

Actually, I had a weird feeling when I noticed I had a crush on someone with the same ASC as my father and he kind of looks like him--the same Sun, too, so the answer is yes

Hahaha. He reminded me more of myself. DONT YOU READ.

I broke up with him a couple days ago bc I would ultimately need to move there for his job and he lives 2 hours away. Our mutual friends live there (how I met him) and before I could see myself making the move but now I cannot. It was probably the most peaceful breakup I've had because no one wronged one anther which probably makes it also the saddest breakup I've had.

That's the best way to move on knowing there's peace and consolation between you.
Two of you have venus conjunct venus so that is probably why there was harmony.

Mom: Aries Sun/Gem Moon/Gem Rising
Hmm and something I never noticed until now, they both have 12th House Moons and came up with a Pisces daughter. Interesting.

I'd say that yes I'm attracted to people with similar placements to my father. I absolutely love Leo Moons and I'm engaged to an Aqua Sun

Not so much my mother, but her and I barely get along while my dad was my best friend, so that makes sense.

and my Mother is a Virgo sun/ Scorpio Moon

I like Scorpio guys first and foremost, but water suns in general. Most of the men in my life have either 6th house suns/moons or stelliums as well.

Dad - Aqua : I have H5 in Aqua, Uranus in aspect to Sun
Mom - Tau (exalted Venus in aspect to Saturn) : Brothers either have Tau on Dsc or Saturn ruling Dsc (traditionally speaking - a situation which, with the each day that passes,I find more interesting)

It's your astro heritage. It makes sense, complex or not.

I didn't mean just the Sun signs or the Moon signs, obviously... but the aspects and houses of all the other planets.

Looks like there's something to it, though.

Which definitely makes sense because most people have some emotional issues related to their parents and by looking for a mate who has a similar energy to one or both parents, it gives the opportunity to deal with those issues. Basic psychology.

My dad was Leo Sun with Saggitarius Moon + Taurus ASC... No. I like Leo men only like friends, couldn't imagine myself with one romantically. Although i have Leo Moon myself. People with Saggitarian ASC tend to like ME, but i also not fond of them romantically.

Were I 30 years younger than I am, I'd agree with you.

It would have freaked me out back then, which is probably why I ignored him when we first met many years ago (at that time I had no idea what his chart looked like). Now, it's just comfortable. We'll see what the future brings.

He doesn't actually remind me of either of my parents on a conscious level.

Sometimes there is maybe one or two placements ex. My mother has a Virgo Sun/Capricorn moon and My father has a Capricorn sun/Sag moon so either the sun or the moon but never both Lawd no.

Idk I love my parents a lot but I would say my mum is quite frigid as a lover and my dad is obnoxious and too dramatic :s

Actually I have date a few leo's and some their episodes reminded me of my father and I never liked that..

I would date a Leo who was nothing like any Leo I have ever known. If they can manage that, sure. What I have seen from the Leos I know, they make good friends but I could not be married to one. I couldn't even live with one. I need my space

they're weird personalities but were good parents to me, they did everything right and raised me properly.

I suppose I would be happy with someone who was raised the same way?

I've noticed I have similar placements with the parents of people I've dated...

My longest relationship was with a guy whose mom is a Cancer Sun, Cap ASC (opposite mine, and we're both born on the 11th lol)

With another guy I had weirdly similar synastry with his sister and dad. His sisters ASC is conjunct my moon exact, among other coincidences.

His dad's sun conjuncts my mercury exact (and both his sun and my mercury are unaspected in our natals- which is weird enough lol) then his mercury and venus conjunct my sun, his moon conjuncts my venus, his mars conjunct my uranus...

He recently friend requested me on facebook even though I'm broken up with this person and things ended badly... Definitely a weird interaction for sure lol

Dad's a Virgo with Aquarius Moon, pretty airy and earthy...no, I don't like earth and air together.

Mumma is a super Virgo with a scatter of other elements...no, I don't like earth alone.

I doooo like Virgo though! It just need Pisces or some water in general to mush up the earth. Otherwise, I like...yeah, fire and water or earth and water, which isn't really my parents.

I've been experiencing a really deep magnetic attraction to someone for a while now. He's a Taurus Sun/Virgo Moon and has a Moon/Chiron conjunction.

Now here's the interesting part... My dad is a Virgo Sun/Taurus Moon. My mom has a Moon/Chiron conjunction herself (and so does my brother!). Food for thought...

My dad has leo moon, same as me and most of my friends had either fire sun or fire moon. Also, the girls I get attracted to almost always have some fire in their charts. I'm a pisces sun, but I seem to like fire more and more every day.
