Both are mutable signs, there are core similarities but that's about it.
The square creates friction and some people like that.I'm sure others can give their experiences.

For some reason it's far easier for me to have a long term friendship that lasts years with a Gem or Sag but impossible to have a serious long term relationship like a marriage with a compatible sign.IP: Logged |

As far as two Sun signs go, they could have fun, but not likely long term. The Sag would probably take the lead, and the Virgo would be fine following on wild goose chases...until they got exhausted.But what else is involved? My Venus Leo & Sag Mars would make them pretty compatible, but Cancer Moon wouldn't be satisfied, unless they had a significant water element. IP: Logged |

Lol what are your other planets? I have exactly the same sun asc moon.

Im a saggy sun and virgo moon...i like both signs as friends, but couldnt live with either, my best friend is a virgo sun, pisces moon....love her but shes such a pushover and does not stand up for herself and its stressful because she gets hurt then expects you to listen to her complain....why doesnt she do something about it? Eventually, you just want to say if your not going to do something about it...then you dont have the right to get mad that its happening to you!But saggys, they just run you over....neither are easy for me to get along with long term, i guess because i have some of both signs in me and the signs are so different..i cant relate completely to either as a sun sign! Saggys mooners, i love though!
I dont think these 2 signs would happily gel, they are just way to different at a core level. IP: Logged |

My line manager at work is a Sag. I can't think of anything worse for a Virgo than to be managed by a Sag - it's a living nightmare, day-in, day-out. However, ironically, her boyfriend is a Virgo and they've stuck it out for more than ten years, so I guess it can work for some. I guess it's down to other placements, aspects, etc. My partner knows more about astrology than I do and she looked at a synastry chart for me and my manager and pointed out some pretty bad aspects, so maybe the Sag has some really good aspects with her boyfriend that overpower any difficult Virgo+Sag type energies that there may also be.IP: Logged |

My Sag friend told me he already upset his Aqua gf by running his mouth and I agree he does do that. Sags, sometimes, do not have that filter. I am that way myself with Mars in Sag in the third house. Maybe he gets that from talking to me all the time? IP: Logged |

I have a Virgo Sun and a Sagi moon in my natal. I like to make rules but still have freedom. I think the rest of the chart needs to be taken into consideration but Virgos like rules and order and Sags like freedom are spontaneous. As long as you two find a common ground it should be fine. I know a Scorpio and a Sag who are together and that seems like it would be harder than a Virgo and a Sag together. IP: Logged |

Fire is normally get aling with Fire and Air.
Earth is best with earth and water.And each Mutable sign are squaring each others ! by sign and orbs . That's why heavy virgo can't get along well with saggi although they are both mutable. If the virgo has his other personal planets( moon venus mercury mars) in Fire or Air signs , then the virgo can definitely good with saggi. Or vice versa , the saggi sun who has other personal planets in water or earth signs would be fit.

Funny thing is, she is like a typical Sag, just not with me. If she makes a mistake she laughs it off, if other people make mistakes she laughs them off, but if I make a mistake I'm in big trouble. Sometimes she ignores boring work related documents because she "cant be bothered", but if I ever act like I can't be bothered it's a different story. It's like she has a special persona for dealing with me. quote:
