Yesterday, my friend accidentally burned me with the car lighter. I felt the pain, but I didn't scream, shout or felt the urge to do so ... he was so horrified and wanted to pull over to the closest pharmacy. I washed it with bottle water and insisted that we keep driving. Now looking at it, it's so damn reddish and has blisters and got me thinking damn that should be more painful. When I was a kid, I used to control tooth pain by focusing on how the pain feels ...shifting all my mental power to analyze the transmission of pain through the sensory nerves rather than just feeling the pain. It works all the time. I think it's because Saturn is quite busy in my chart. I also looked up endurance artists: Chris Burden (Aries): Saturn sq. Chiron Saturn sq. Sun Saturn widely conj. Mars Pluto sq. Venus Mars sq. Sun Khoo Swee Chiow (scorpio): Again, saturn opposite Mars Pluto opposite Chiron Chiron sq. Mercury Saturn sq. Sun David Blaine (Aries) Saturn trine Mars Chiron sex. Saturn Chiron Conj Sun Saturn sex. Sun Pluto trine Mars Mercury sq. Saturn Saturn/sun, saturn/mars or mars/pluto is common!

I do this too. Sun/Saturn (H3 Saturn for good focus) and Mars/Pluto (quincunx and contraparallel) over here. IP: Logged |

Saturn in relation to the Moon and to Mercury. I've seen it before, specially the trine which I have. It gives the native the power to control how to "feel" or "not to feel" physical pain. I simply intellectualize it, then it is gone.IP: Logged |

I used to focus on the exact spot I was hit as a child and ponder exactly what was going on physically also, sometimes I'd get so hard I'd almost fall over and that's the only thing that could bring me out of the almost trance type place I'd take myself in order not to feel the pain! Sun saggy@4.28 Merc saggy@3.32 Saturn leo@2.50 Uranus scorp@4.44 My step fathers favorite saying, you'd better not cry or I'll give you something to cry about! IP: Logged |

Also remember counting dust particles in the air and thinking they were pretty as they sparkled in the sun, while I was being hurt....but I don't remember any of the pain at all, but logically I know what was happening was very painful!IP: Logged |

My chart is different but I'm the same, and analyzing the pain is one of the ways I do it (and it helps even more if there's someone else I'm trying to keep calm by focusing on the other person). I've read Libra is good with dealing with physical pain which surprised me, I'd have attributed it to my Scorpio & Sag energy instead. IP: Logged |

I tend to laugh for some reason. It's not things don't hurt. I just laugh. It's my reaction. I remember last July I dropped something on my foot at work which left a purple spot under the nail for a few months. At the time this woman walked by so I sucked it up. Even I was surprised that I was able to. It hurt like a SOB. IP: Logged |

Mars retro in Taurus, trine Asc, sextile Saturn. I have removed my stitches that were grown over by the skin on my finger. I have popped the metatarsals in my feet back in place. The nurses attending to me after having my awesome daughter by caesarean section come in to my hospital room & inject me with a painkiller because I wasn't hitting the morphine button enough. How you control pain by focus/observe the pain and not let your emotional go with the pain situation is one of the method from " Bhudist meditation".We let our mind see the emotion situation i.e. when sad , use your mind to "see" that " you are "now sad" . When you "see" it , you will "observe" it and not let this feeling/emotional , reacting to the environment , interfere your meditated mind. Then you will see ," sad " is only one temporary stage of emotional , it took place and finished . When it finish , if you trained to have a concentrated mind on that stage , you will eliminate the beginning of the "sad" more quickly by focus of that "sad" again. Btw, too bad I had a saturn square moon , sat conjunct sun/AC , I tend to freak out more than in control IP: Logged |
