I'm cancer sun, aquarius moon, scorpio ascendant.
My mother is taurus sun, saggitarius moon, gemini ascendant.
We don't share any sign placements (except venus in gemini), but i noticed one thing.
The ruler of my ascendant, pluto, is exactly on the cusp of my ascendant 2 degrees, sometimes i don't know if i count that 12 house or 1. I think it affects both. The thing is, my mother has the ruler of her ascendant, mercury, exactly conjunct the cusp of her ascendant, but her is more in 12 house.
My question is, is this important? Even if we have really different ascendants, does this placement have any similar actitudes?

Yes, it's pretty common (I'd even say - it happens all the time) to have similar placements to those of your parents. It's like genetics - some things get passed on from generation to generation.

Ruler of ASC conjunct the ASC from the 12H is definitely a common thing you have with your mother and that does have significance.
Maybe the way you come across and approach new situations is quite similar... You could have learned that from her. With the ASC ruler in the 12H but conjunct the ASC, you could appear a little distant at times when met with new situations, but have a strong presence when you're comfortable.

Im sun cancer moon aries. My father is libra sun Capricorn moon. My mother is Capricorn sun moob in Pisces. My father and i are completely opposit yet very much alike if that makes any sense. Lol

Thank you very much Doux Rêve!!!! You always have the answer, i'm serious. It makes perfect sense, i noticed that common placement not long ago, and i was thinking this has to mean something, as i said my mother and i have very different sign placements, but this thing with the ruler definitely has to do something

Hrm.. strange.. and I don't know how accurate this is since I don't know their birth time..

But my mother is a Sun in Cap/Moon in Pisces
and my father a Sun in Cap/Moon in Scorpio

Did that deadly combo doom me to Moon in Capricorn, yeah?

My asc is in Scorpio but im unsure about my parents ascendants. I think ill try to find out tomorrow and ill get back to you on that one. Might be interesting.

Well thats interesting. I read somewhere that if you "make" your kids while under a masculine or feminine sign or a moon in a masculine or feminine sign it could in effect cause you to have a masculine or feminine child. Seems like an interesting topic to look into.

I have my Moon in the 9th House. I also have Saturn in Sagittarius.

Both my parents have Sagittarius Moons! Plus, My Mom also has her Sun in the 9th, w/ Sag ASC.

My brother has Saturn & Mars in Sagittarius.

So yeah...Sag won't leave us.
