I saw this aspect in Leo with Margaret Sanger’s natal chart (‘http://astrotheme.com/chart/pyV0HwH3oHWgGzgSZQNjZGRj.png’) today. Sanger often did not look aged in pictures, but Juno conjunct ascendant in Leo (even in the twelfth house) certainly symbolised her desire for a wealthy, powerful man that dominated her young adult life.

It also symbolises very clearly Sanger’s defence of women’s right to control their own body, which had long been denied by Christianity as contrary to natural law – as of course was the very right of women to own property at all. The square of Sanger’s Juno to Neptune – though not very exact at an orb of 2 degrees 32 minutes – shows the conflict that has been so pronounced in working men and educated women between individual rights and spiritual aspirations. (Be careful when looking at Sanger’s Neptune as the trines that make it look well-aspected are very wide).
