Meet people halfway or more and you'll see much better results.
Exactly. I read the article, I just don't mind read.

The 7th house isn't merely "the" relationship house its the house "partnerships" its shows what your partnerships with other people are generally like. I quote Dana Gerhardt "Any individual who provokes us into a strong emotional response, who affects us, has unwittingly invited a shadow dance with our 7th house". IP: Logged |

Has anyone ever had asc/dsc conjunction in synastry? Imo it's really intense because that persons life (asc) will inhibit all the qualities you want in a relationship.I'm not really into sag suns but sag ascendants, my s.o's Ascendant conjunct my dsc by 0'43 degrees. IP: Logged |

I think of it as a relationship and partnership house. What is your attitude toward others and they toward you? Are you belligerent, friendly, shy, sociable. Do you like a lot of friends? Are you a loner? Do people love or hate you? Do they feel indifferent? Do you illicit strong emotional reactions from others? In partnerships, it regards what kind of partner you are and what you attract, since you put out a certain energy and there's a law of attraction at work. So if you have this subtle hostile vibe, you can see it in the seventh house ruler and cusp. You attract these people and your partnerships could be wrought with difficulty and conflict. Like, if you have Sagittarius on the house cusp, you have an idea of what you want in your environment, the kind of partnership you strive for. You look for the best in others and find it. You see partnership as a way to expand your horizons, gain in life. You like to share fantastic ideals with your partner and you have what could be considered a certain philosophical understanding with your partner on what to expect, how to behave, etc. Let's look at Capricorn on the cusp of seven. A person with this sign could really struggle with their relationships and partnerships and feel kind of alone and isolated in life. They might feel like, when they do have a partner and in their relationships, they do most of the work. They do not benefit from the contributions of their partner. Their relationships do not give them comfort. They have a tough time gaining from them. That's one possible scenario. Another is the person who climbs upwards and their relationships allow them to increase their social standing. Anyway, my point is, I think seventh house is relationships, along with the tenth, as well as partnerships. It's the first house in how we approach everyone else outside the family and it sets the tone for the public houses that follow. Seventh house will give insight on how suited someone is for public life. IP: Logged |

Thank you for the links For me, I think Venus isn't just about what (ideal, type) of man I'm attracted to but HOW I attract a man. And Mars is how I go about pursuing what I want, how much energy I want to expend.
My Venus is in Scorpio (4th house) and I have Saturn ruling my 7th residing in the 10th house. I want a sexy, passionate partner I can make a home with who is a powerful authority figure at work or is an authority in his field. And since Saturn also rules my 6th house, I want an older, mature man who takes care of himself. However, he does need to have a sweet tooth, because I love to bake. Yes, I know it's a contradiction. Mars/9th is Sextile Saturn in Cancer. I know one of my goals is to find my ideal partner/partnership that will work. I want someone who wants to be nurtured and loves a home-cooked meal and appreciates it. Thank you for sharing! IP: Logged |

-Venus in Libra in the 2nd House -7th House Cusp in Aquarius with -Uranus in Capricorn in the 6th House and -Saturn in Pisces in the 8th House -Moon in Gemini in the 11th HouseObviously an airy and intellectual woman? Lol. I also like Virgo qualities. (not sure where that came from, lol) I really can't say which air sign's qualities I prefer over the others, but generally in a partner/relationship, I guess I will have to go with Aquarius qualities. My 7th House's depositor; Uranus, is in Capricorn in the 6th House, doesn't really describe what I'm attracted to. Besides the 6th House influence which I am attracted to a bit. (I guess that's where Virgo comes in, lol) I like someone who is organized and on top of everyday things. My 7th House's co-depositor; Saturn, is in Pisces in the 8th House, doesn't really describe what I'm attracted to either. I would like an intense partner though. Which doesn't mean sexual, but someone who has much depth and generally doesn't take things in life lightly. But my ideal woman is a Virgo Sun with a Libra Mercury. I was already attracted to 3 of them, lol. Astrology aside. I want a partner who is shy, introverted, intelligent, romantic, ethical with good mannerisms, talkative, intellectual and eccentric. Physically, which I'm pretty sure has nothing to do with Astrology, *waits for PlutoFish* I want a slim, very pretty face, (is a must, a nice body doesn't matter to me though) dark hair which is long, dark eyes or light brown eyes and of course, clean. Although I do have a ethnic preference. It's not a must, but it's definitely a considerate preference. I wonder if that can have something to do with Astrology? Maybe an Aquarius 7th House likes a partner that can be of a different ethnicity as you. IP: Logged |

The article's don't address enough. It's really about your whole chart, planetary aspects, primary and secondary placements, etc. etc.But for the sake of ease: My Mars is in Aquarius. My Sun is in Taurus and conjunct Jupiter. My 7th House cusp is in Libra, with Pluto residing in there too. I'll just say the odd things about my preferences. My Sun/Jupiter makes me attracted to religious types, people that are spiritual through and through. Priests are sexy, yeah I said it! "I'm sorry, what were you saying? I got lost for a moment. . . "
People that seem larger than life, that laugh the quickest but will defend themselves when they really need to. A philosopher. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSxyetJ8278 Oooh! Bruce Lee is deadly and so sexy. My Mars in Aqua, 11th House, with my Descendant ruler (Venus) in Gemini 3rd House. COMMUNICATION = understatement. I crave communication, the sharing of ideas, curiosity and that the person speaks to me like they would a sibling/friend. Not like I'm special or a princess. Ugh! I like people with afflictions that they have overcome or are working to overcome. I can't be with someone that whines about themselves and their pain. Someone that exhibits power over brute strength or speed. Speed over strength but combined is cake. Boxing/Martial Arts = yes. Power lifting = no. IP: Logged |

I want a man who is my complete opposite yet very similar to me. Someone who is strong, independent, loving, and caring. Someone who wants just as many if not more kids than I want. A man who's not afraid to give himself whole heartedly and completely to me. Someone who's passionate and intense, and sex obsessed like myself lol. Someone who's romantic with me yet dominant and a little aggressive. A guy not afraid to go out and buy tampons and chocolate when I need them. A guy who loves his family just as much as I love mine(even if they are strange ). A mumma's boy. A man who's spiritual and loves his faith as much as I do mine. Someone who loves to travel and take random trips with me. A guy who loves animals(specifically Hippos*) and kids. A creative guy who likes all creative arts. A guy who's funny and likes to have fun. I guess all in all I want a guy who sweeps me off of my feet and I think I may have found him. He's everything I've ever wanted and more. He's what I've wanted physically and mentally my entire life. I think it may also be that's he's older than I am and I can't help being attracted to older guys I'm a 9th house Cancer Mars, first house Scorpio Venus IP: Logged |

If you analyse the placements before you talked about what you preferred, you would have realised it coincides. 7th house Aquarius does point to someone of a different ethnicity to you. 6th house points to someone who can fix/help you or others (as u said someone probably like a Virgo). 8th house doesn't necessarily mean a sexual house. It's also the house of shared resources/wealth. So you might like a partner who can support you and herself. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I noticed it coincides, but I said "Astrology aside" to pretty much sum-up what I want in a partner without assigning my astrological placements to the summary. You can see how they're linked, I wasn't inferring that it had nothing to do with Astrology, but just that I'm not giving a reason why, astrologically. (Ex. Aquarius DSC is why I am attracted to eccentric, etc) IP: Logged | |
