I never had this with someone but researched and I don't know if help but I'll say anyway

What I read was this position is a curse because of the duty feeling that people feel with each other BUT somewhere I read one experience about this and the person said it is a blessing when the partners need to get real about life and that they were learning the practical aspects of life and how to be in a mature relationship in a daily basis.

I have this position with my SO. This position may seem a burden but not when the couple is mature to handle the relationship. Brangelina has this position and they are still together and fine after so many years.

Its perfectly fine. Composite Sun in 6th house isnt that bad. Its worse to have Venus in this house.

I have composite Sun in 6H with pretty much half the population since my 6H is the size of Africa, and uh... I dunno what to say about it, rofl.

It feels normal to me (maybe because of the natal emphasis).
