I have searched deep into the archives of LindaLand to figure this out, but can't seem to find a concrete answer. I've read about indicators of fame in birth charts, but what astrological aspects give a celebrity great star power?

I'm not talking about your run-of-the-mill celebrities; I'm talking about the celebrities that draw huge crowds, are held in high regard and live on years after their deaths -- the celebrities that make other celebrities stand and gawk in awe. Celebrities like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Oprah Winfrey (living celebrities are a bit difficult to pin down, but Oprah is, well, Oprah), Elizabeth Taylor, and Marilyn Monroe (I'm kind of "obsessed" with her at the moment; hence, the thread).

What planet, asteroid, or house aspects give someone that special something; that je ne sais quoi? Could it be the 7th house, a Quintile or BiQuintile, Ganymede, or a rare combination of such things? Why are some celebrities in a complete league of their own? Let me know what you think below!

Seriously, Venus/Mars=Sun is a biggie. I'm seeing Eros prominent, too.

Yes. Sun on Venus/Mars MP. I typically prefer 2° conjunction. Obviously, oppositions and squares apply - but in my research, conjunction within 2°.

It's a very charismatic, 'show-stopping' personality. There's an innate sense of handling 'fame'.

Oh, is that what "Venus/Mars=Sun" meant?

How important are mid-points anyway? I've never really looked into them.

Hmm midpoints interesting.
What about venus/mars midpoint conjunct moon?
Does that count?
Hmm what if moon is a chart ruler and in the 10th house LOL that would probably give it more of an impact.

I've noticed Leo placements... but never really Leo sun. It's usually leo venus, mars and sometimes Merc. Idk something about Leo just draws people in.

Marilyn, Elvis, Michael and Liz all had a prominent Neptune/Pisces placement.

So Neptune/Pisces + Leo???

Also, how can I find my midpoints?

Interesting.

On Astro.com, under Chart Drawing Style, choose "Ebertin style (w. midpoints)" or "Keller style (w. midpoints)," and click on Additional Tables above the circular chart on the next page.

Marilyn's Mercury/Mars midpoint is exactly conjunct her Venus and her Uranus/Neptune midpoint is conjunct her Sun. Also, she has many midpoints -- ASC/Uranus, Venus/Pluto, Mars/Neptune and Pluto/Chiron -- conjunct her Mercury by less than 1 degree.

I'm sorry, but I'm totally fascinated by her right now. I find it amazing how she steals every scene that she's in.

I'm gonna have to look into midpoints tonight.

I just checked and all of the celebrities listed with the exception of Elvis had a planet in Leo!

I'm really interested in the Sign of Leo.I've tried to do some research on Leo but I keep finding the mundane pop astrology stuff >.<

It truly depends. I've been floored. It's like a hidden connexion that's operating unconsciously.

Personal story.

I recently was positively dominated by the most adorable 3 year old girl. Now, I've seen her a few times with her family. This time, we were at a theatre for my stepdaughter's premiere.

I was the only thing in the room. Not kidding! She didn't care about either of her parents there, or any of the other kids. It was ME she wanted. I'm thinking: what on earth?

Her Sun is 4° conjunct my Venus. Well, okay ...

Her Venus is at 18° Libra, and her Mars at 20°. That makes her Venus/Mars 19° Libra.

My Sun? 19° Libra.

Oh, and my Venus/Mars? 19° Libra.

Action + Affection. Charisma. Passionate fascination. That girl thinks I hung the moon. I've never been so honoured, heh.

But now I know why!

I'd say when the chart-ruler's involved, and prominently placed near the MC, that's going to give a sort of emotional charisma - in your case. Very potent. Persuasive. The public would identify and empathise with you. They just get slack-jawed with us V/M=Sunners. ;p

Of course, I also get a kind awe-stricken 'power' response. They stick with me through thick-and-thin. I'm a very capable leader to them. A bit of a Kubrick at times, though.

Sun-Pluto=Venus/Mars explains that. BML is there, too. My costar's Moon is right opposite, and Mars 1° conjunct.

Oh it's not me.
My friend is an actor has had this placement so I was wondering.
I suppose being able to invoke emotional charisma is a plus for an actor.

I noticed she can be frosty and a bit awkward but everyone is drawn in and still trying as hard as they can to break through the barriers.
Kinda like kristen stewart, she's so unpleasant yet so popular...

Absolutely. That's a wonderful placement. Especially with the MC involvement. He's using it well!

Interesting...

All depends if you've got anything supporting it, like another personal point, or a 'personal' outer - as it can give prominence. Especially Neptune or Pluto.

NJ became very insightful to me due to her tragic loss of self. Hell, she never really developed it. But you can only go through life switching masques for so long until you long for, crave, a self-identity.

Her tragedy led me to avoid something similar.

Ahhh midpoints are really interesting.

My moon/neptune midpoint conjuncts my s.o's sun/bml/ceres.
I'm like instinctively compelled be extra sensitive and nurturing.
This is like opposite my personality LOL.

Hmmmm....

I've got quite a few things going on midpoint wise.
Perhaps most significant here would be Venus Conjunct Sun/Asc midpoint 1 degree. (according to Astro.com) Which Venus is my chart ruler.

I need to learn more about midpoints. :/

Oooh, good one, Kero. I'll have to look at mine. I get that way, too. Well, moreover, I get ... submissive. Really, genuinely, respectful and willing to assist, even cater to him in whatever way I can. Fortunately, he's such a complete gentleman, he never takes advantage of this. But I think we're both amused how such a regularly Lilith-incarnate strong-willed woman is all, 'would you like some more tea?'

Soooo pathetic.

Exact conjunction of BML and Priapus, for those curious. Very active, too. Sun, Moon, Mars, Pluto, Eros, all in the mix.
