How does it play out for you? And also how does it effect your appearance?I'm generally quite moody with others, but that's because my mars is in cancer, or others are defensive of me. Appearance wise, I don't have a stereotypical soft feminine featured face. I have an Italian/Greek style nose. IP: Logged |

As far as nose structure or facial, bone … I'd look at Saturn. Mars in the first would affect the face though? Not sure. I have Mars conj. ASC, and in the first when using Whole Signs. I don't think it makes me look manly but I FEEL manly. Apperance wise I'm heavy and feminine (I have Jupiter in the 1st too.) I have a long but pretty face. I think whatever is in our first house is how we feel about ourselves. So you may think you don't have a soft face or whatever, but that's your own perception, especially having Cancer in the uncomfortable hot house of Mars. Wouldn't Mars in the first actually be exalted or something since it's Aries' house? IP: Logged |

Mars in cancer makes my life hell, and it opposes Neptune... It's just emotional explosion after another.

Me too! My Mars is also in a mutable sign. Can you pull off a lot of different styles and looks? IP: Logged |

I dress either like a man; suits and ties and brogue shoes OR very womanly in skirts, heels and blouses. I also LOVE hats!! Hate jeans. don't own one single pair. IP: Logged |

Interesting. So you swing from one end of the spectrum to the other. It's either this or that, which I see as very Virgo. Mine is in Gemini, I come up with my own outfits and whatnot. I rarely ever dress business-y, but am still stylish either way. I love fashion. I just wondered if the chameleon like nature may be related to having a mutable Mars or not. IP: Logged |

a close friend of mine has this. to be exact it's in her 12th house in aqua. when I first met her, she seemed a lot like an aries though her sun is in taurus, so I was a little confused from the outside she is the kind of person who has to have the best stories, to top everyone else, who has a "but what about ME" perspective with a quick temper, but inside her there is actually a lot insecurity.I have a question for all of the mars conjunct asc people: do you guys feel like the mars overshadows your asc a little bit? with only ceres close on the asc I don't have a personal planet on mine and can't really get a grip on this IP: Logged |

Ive got it almost exacyly conjunct mine from the 1st in late taurus, also conjunct mercury.Appearance wise i also have the italian/greek nose, might be related. I have allot of facial scars and have an athletic build. I guess i look pretty manly but mercury adds a certain youthfullness to my face i think. I think i tend to come across as a little arrogant, or just very confident depending on who you ask, i also have a terribly quick temper. I have also been told i speak very loudly, if i have a very private/innapropriate conversation with someone they almost always get nervous and ask me speak lower. To answer the one who asked if mars overshadows my ascendant i do think it does a bit yes, but it gives me some positive qualities that i like which is great physical strength and it makes me appear confident. Btw my half brother has this aswell and we look a little simlar even tought i don't resemble my other brothers at all, altough i'm leaner than him but that's probably mars-mercuy, he also has a quite quick anger and looks quite manly in generall.
