I am reading a book where a man does everything he can to have the woman he wants. Of course she wants him too but plays hard to get. And I was wondering what aspects can shows persuasion (is that the correct word?) in a chart? I say a strong Pluto (power) and a strong Mars (action).

PLEASE! If you don't find interesting my topic, don't post. Don't want another flame.

My personal experiences/observations: Squares and conjunctios to venus or moon.

Like Heathcliff and Catherine...

In synastry or in a man's natal? Its important to know the difference.

I had someone who really liked me, then I was obsessed with for years and he was more indifferent, then I got over it and he was obsessed with me for years.

I could post a chart.

A couple things I saw though - his Venus conjunct my Pluto in 12th. AC/MC axis conjunct

if u mean obsession, it's Pluto (he) squares (her) Venus/Mars. i can imagine Pluto Scorpio square Mars/Venus Virgo.

another possibility is his Lilith aspects to her planets.

Pluto, Neptune, Uranus. Uranus because of the promise of being together and secure but it's the opposite, Uranus is challenge and excitement hence obsession because it's never boring.

The man and woman's natal would have to be taken into consideration along with the synastry, so you would look for patterns in all of it.

Like with Neptune in the natal triggered by the synastry, the relationship between them could be on shaky ground.

With Pluto, too much controlling.

Mars could be anger.

Venus could leave them feeling unloved when they are together, like they don't receive enough love from one another.

Sun and moon, emotional conflicts between them, feeling out of sync with one another.

A novel you say? That's... Surprising. One usually doesn't open books to find novels. It is a romance book, isn't it?

It's not like I am going to book shame you... Kidding!! I totally would! Maybe it is good you chose not to disclose the title.
