I like those colors. I absolutely HATE satin with a passion! Satin is the one fabric I cannot stand against my skin for some reason.I like bright colors only in paintings and tend to dislike these muted tones but I do like the style of the Dutch masters and all those dark tones; just not the muted, earth tones.. I like dark, muted tones on walls and in clothing and house exteriors. I don't like pastel colors on the exterior of homes I really loathe it. Inside a house, I like bright, glaring-white walls. Maybe it's due to Venus in tenth square Saturn in an earth sign? Saturn also trines an earth sun. Moon is in earth, too. My Libra ascendant likes bright colors sometimes, but the backdrop better be dark. I also have an eighth house moon. IP: Logged |

I have lots of scorpio in my chart and I love rich colors. In Reds, Purples, Blues, greens. In satin and velvet that is my bedding. IP: Logged |

I LOOOOVE strong rich colours, and hate pastels with a passion. In my experience in terms of venuses: taurus, gemini, cancer, virgo, and libra are all attracted to pastels and light colours and aries, leo, and scorpio are attracted to rich colours whereas sagittarius, aquarius and pisces all love patterns.these are obviously just my own impressions though, and i may be biased because i'm mostly made up of aqua/pisces/sag and i'm a hippie at heart who loves patterns. EDIT: Whoops, forgot about Capricorn! Sorry guys, I feel like you like a mix of the two, rich but muted - colours like navy and dark brown - the pastels of the dark colour pallet. lol IP: Logged |

from my experience i find this to be true as well!

These two colors used in fashion or interior design are considered to be "Jewel Tones". My first thought was Taurus because of the "rich" color and the satin being considered quite luxurious. I love these colors & I have no Taurus planets, only Neptune in Scorpio which is generational. My Venus is only sextiled by a Mercury-Saturn conjunction. No luxury for me.IP: Logged |

I am sorta the same way however, I can take pastels in limited context. So I can't say I absolutely loathe them, just in certain applications.

I really like pastels in decor because it's light and plesnt and adds space but in art I like using rich dark blues reds blacks browns because it makes more of an impact and brings in mystery and mood.
I almost never use bright color unless it's forced. The trend for modern art is very bright and neon superficial design patterns like all the hipster art on tumblr lOL
I want to bring back earthy-dingy, moody/emotional and unpleasantness in art. People are often impressed the mood and mystery using elements realism and A LOT of texture and shadows- value for abstraction so it becomes a pure expression of emotion.
I wear jewel tones mostly. pretty much emeralds, sapphire blues, greys/blacks because I'm luxurious. IP: Logged |
