I agree but poetry should be combined by Neptune (the illusion) Moon(the poets emotions) and mercury (the way the poet knows how to say what he feels through his poem)

Lets see. At the present moment I write. (Mercury is in Leo in 9th house)
Cinema and theatre - I want to produce my own movies (one day). Jupiter in Pisces in 5th house with ruler Neptune in 2nd.

These ring true to me.

What doesn't ring that true is Neptune= Poetry. I would place that along with Mercury.
I have a square between Mercuy and Neptune and I loathe poetry. I am better writing prose.

You mean Uranus?
I chose it because the process of picture taking is mostly very quick, requires electronic equipment and a good photographer should be able to capture sudden priceless moments

I don't consider cooking and baking an art. But I'd go for the Moon.

I reckon it depends on what type of dancing, painting, writing, poetry, etc. you're doing.

I think that Neptune and possibly Mercury play a role in any creative outlet (besides homesteading type outlets, like cooking, which I assume would be a Moon ruled thing), but depending on what and how other planets are aspected, each person's work will look and feel completely different?

Because the Sun is self-expression.
So you're expressing your artistic side with drawing and painting. You produce portraits and would like to receive adoration and recognition for your creativity and what you stand for.

Sun conjunct Venus in Leo is the ultimate creative artist, IMO.

My friend has this and he is very much into Art. But this is not why I think this placement is the best for it... it just backs it up.

I don't think it's Sun conjunct Venus per se, maybe 5H. I'm a painter and have no aspects between sun and venus and venus and mercury.

My artsy friends tend to be "out there" people so I'll go with possibly uranus and neptune.

My venus conjunct uranus, neptune, trine jupiter, sextile pluto. It's also my chart ruler

Actually almost all the photographers I know have capricorn influences, and usually an aqua placement thrown in there somewhere.
