I've recently taken interest in the Royal Fixed Stars and Galactic Center and how they play out in our lives:

Aldebaran: 9º Gemini
Regulus: 29º Leo
Atares: 9º Sagittarius
Fomalhaut: 3ºPisces
G.C.: 27º Sagittarius

The Galactic Centre (the rotational center of our galaxy, the Milky Way.) It strikes me that something so astronomically significant is so seldom talked about in Astrology. Here are a couple of articles if you guys aren't well acquainted:
http://www.librarising.com/cosmology/galactic.html http://www.horary.com/hhcrl/galact.html

When our personal planets are configured with these points, they are said to be given extra power and promise of great success, or conversely, destruction, but at any rate, giftedness. Take, for example, the fact that two of the arguably most famous (and infamous) women of our time have their Suns congifured with the Aldebaran/Antares axis. Marilyn Monroe's Sun was at 10º Gemini, and Britney Spears' Sun is at 10º Sagittarius. These degrees are typically made synonymous with a "rapid road to success, followed by a fall from grace" - if the native is not cognizant, that is.

Anyhow, I'm curious to know how these degrees play out in your chart, which planets are conjunct them (give a 1-2º orb), and how you feel they play out in your chart!

Thanks all!

Hi,

I have:

Aldebaran conjunct chiron (7º54' gemini)

Antares conjunct uranus (my chart ruler-->9º33' sag)

G.C. conjunct neptune (28º53' sag)

If it's about sucess I can say that even if I have hard aspects from saturn to my luminaries and rising, what makes me work hard to get things, I often got what I wanted and was acknowledged in my profession at an early age. Of course this changed now I'm passing by saturn return hahah! But I'm very optimistic for what may come to me in the future

How interesting to find FOMALHAUT exactly to-the-minute conjunct my Descendant (3'52 Pisces)

.. so I found some info..

quote:
With Fomalhaut on the AC and in good aspect, it is supposed to give one fame that lasts beyond the grave. Fomalhaut is also said to have the nature of Mercury and Venus, so art and writing are well starred. Out of the four Archangels, Fomalhaut is definitely the poetic artist, magician and most probably a pacifist. The others are all beastly warriors. As ever, this Venusian side to Fomalhaut that makes him a little suspect to a dog-eat-dog world, Robson says… “It is said to be very fortunate and powerful and yet to cause malevolence of sublime scope and character, and change from a material to a spiritual form of expression
http://darkstarastrology.com/fomalhaut/

.. as I have it on the DESC (not ASC) I guess these would be the types I would fall for... interesting.. but I have to read more about it as that desc of mine is badly aspected.

Sun moon mercury conjunct aldebaaran. 1st house. I have no desire to be a celebrity or an entertainer. However I've always had some form of notoriety whether I like it or not. Who knows maybe I'll be famous for being revolutionary in my field which is related to design technology and communications. I am incredbily ambitious and hardworking. I know that I was not born for a basic life. Getting married and having kids etc not really feeling it. Working towards having an opulent and beautiful life.

The galactic centre and Ophiuchus are both within the tropical constellation of Sagittarius (and fixed)

Sagittarius rules the thighs, and butt.
Ophiuchus rules the butt, if you are born in Sagittarius A you are still a Sag but Ophiuchus (the butt)sits within (on top)of you.

I have a theory from that that the gal.centre is the universal plopper.

Unlimited energy/other beings etc = exit/entry to another place?

On the topic of Ophiuchus, if you are born under the tropical sign of Sagittarius and had the constellation of Ophiuchus near you're Sun, you want to look at the fixed stars Ras Alhague (The head of the old healing man) and Sepens/unakalhi (The snake) to see how Ophiuchus comes into your Sagittarian being.

Other stars are important too,

I have Venus/asc conjunct Pleiades, and I think that gives me a lot of creativity and uniqueness.

My s.o has Moon and Mars conjunct Sirius, I think that might give all the popularity

Sagittarius 27 The Sculptor:

This is a symbol of creative ability as the manifestation of self-consciousness in its maturity of realization, dramatized by an irresistable desire to endow all life with some enduring potentiality. Here are the enlarged horizons which follow form from an individual's mastery of his own particular talents, and from the expanded vision which he must develop and share with his fellows if he is to possess it for himself. He is able to idealize nature because he has brought her to subjugation. The keyword is immortilization. When positive, the degree is exceptional self-expression through a gift for building all experience into a personal fulfillment, and when negative, callous impersonality and overambitious pretentions.

aldebaran conj mars

quote:
:
Mars Aldebaran
“Great military preferment but attended by much danger; liable to accidents, fevers and a violent death” [1] Mars here gives great ambition, business sense and the guts to really “wheel and deal”. This is someone who must win at all costs and is a born survivor. The danger of a “violent death” here may simply be as a result of their dare devil behaviour. These people are highly impulsive and take risks, but as the saying goes “Who dares wins” and more often than not, they do. The tendency to accidents depends on the rest of the chart and if there are other elements to cool the hot bloodedness of this placement. Passionate and highly-sexed, these people’s libido does much to propel them into high positions. They have no qualms about using sex to get ahead.

(darkstarastrology)

i can relate to everything except using sex to get ahead.
