So traditionally the most wellknown indicator for sexual attraction is female's Venus to be in aspect to male's Mars! On the other hand Venus for example is the planet that shows what attracts a guy sexually- his ideal lover..i don't know why but this always seemed to me like an oxymoron Sorry if my question is silly lol but why isn't it better male's Venus to be in aspect to female's Venus [showing her female side] and/or male's Mars to female's Mars?Or at least female's Mars to male's Venus..or male's venus to any female's planet!IP: Logged |

For a serious and solid relationship I would look better at Sun and Moon.Venus/Mars aspects are important too (for sex) but not everything. A relationship based on sex (with only Venus/Mars aspects) everyone can have but it won't last. There are also other things that count in a relationship. IP: Logged |

Thank you Rosalind I understand and you're right about relationships based on sex! My question is more like generally if male's mars to female's venus is best for sex then why is a male supposed to be sexually attracted through his venus and not through his mars? IP: Logged |

Because Venus is what you find beautiful and attractive. It's about love, more feminine things. Mars is about aggression, sex drive, more masculine things. IP: Logged |

Venus and Mars aren't the only relationship planets! Actually, when I imagine Venus/Mars synastry, it seems pretty superficial and lacking depth...like Rosalind said, Sun and Moon (especially Moon) are important planets, as is Saturn, especially Saturn/Moon aspects! IP: Logged |

the way i see it is ppl value that relationship because venus and mars is the give and take part. venus to venus is also a great aspect, and depending what your placements are some charts prefer their venuses to be compatable. ex. all my gemini venus friends like having their venus aspected with their partner's (they value shared ideas in a friendship sort of way) whereas as that's something i value, at times it feels like too much of a friend aspect vs. a soulful relationship (speaking from a venus in pisces perspective). This is all obviously just my opinion but I hope that helped.IP: Logged |

Sexual attraction isn't limited to your or their Venus, Mars or Luminaries. House placements of the venus and mars are equally important as well as the 5th house for sexual attraction and pleasure.IP: Logged |

Pretty much what others said. You have to look at Sun-Moon, Moon-Moon too. Venus-Venus will be appreciation of how you love. Mars-Mars will probably tell you more about how you fight and cool off. For attraction, it depends on what you prefer. If you want your emotional needs met, probably have to look more into Moon compatibility more, like Mars-Moon, Venus-Moon. If it's just physical or sexual chemistry, I think you know what they are. IP: Logged |

One should look at all the aspects, but in general, I just do the active partner's Aphrodite and the passive partner's Ares.------------------ L'amour d'Aphrodite et un choc de beauté~ IP: Logged |

Thank you all for your responses!! They're really helpful! If for example there are aspects of other female's planets to male's mars but not her venus [or moon], will he be sexually attracted? Or it has to be a yin yang type of interraction? quote: Originally posted by Sailor Gemini: One should look at all the aspects, but in general, I just do the active partner's Aphrodite and the passive partner's Ares.
You mean the asteroid Afrodite? Ares is an asteroid? If an asteroid what's it's number please?

No, I use the Greek names for the Planets. If I'm talking about an asteroid, I use the number with the name.------------------ L'amour d'Aphrodite et un choc de beauté~ IP: Logged |
