You think you become more your ascendant?
A few days ago someone here said as you grow up you can be more your sun sign, i don't know if i agree with that, because all my life i have felt my sun in cancer so much, i have a stellium in cancer but as i get older i notice my ascendant is like being integrated in me, and in that moments when i'm more concious about the energy of my rising sign, more i feel like oh my god what is this, like it is not complete integrated in my mind. When you grow up, you become more like your progressed sun and still keep some of your birth sun. Like for instance, I have a progressed sun in Libra and I am far more Libra-like now than I was as a kid. I lacked balanced and was spaced out. I had a lot of crying spells and times of intense emotion that needed equilibrium. Libra provides this. The longer my progressed sun stays in Libra, the more Libran I feel and act. Now that Venus is about to cross over from Virgo into Libra, I will demonstrate even more of the Libran willingness to philosophize and cooperate with extra charm and panache. IP: Logged |

I think many professional Astrologers would probably say Sun.

StarLight I don't know where is my progrssed sun..but why do you say is in libra, i thought that sun changed by year.Stargazer I think it's different for everyone as well. DeepFreeze I agree with some your info but in my case i have always feel a lot the energy of the sun and i think all the time i'm being my sun....

Now i remember, it's in leo(sun progressed) and i remembered it has been there a lot of time and is going to be more time.

You become the whole chart as one as you age, i wouldn't say there are many singularities..
The Ascendant, Sun & Moon are always your strongest connection. Saturn and the trans-personals Uranus and Neptune all become stronger after the age of 30.IP: Logged |

I view Sun as the true core, the undiscovered true self.ASC is bits and pieces you collect and use to best express yourself to new people to "protect" yourself in the real world. Yeah I call it the mask. Alternatively, the nicer way to put it is "awareness of the 'other' self to cope in real world". Anyway if you have a stellium with your Sun in it, your Cancer side is probably so in your face that you don't even have to try to find it. It doesn't mean it's fully developed though. IP: Logged |

I feel that as we grow up, different parts of our charts would start to mature too.When I was young, I was more my Aries core, but as I grow up, Virgo traits started to mature as well, along with other chart placements. IP: Logged |

I think it's the solar arc or something like that that changes every year? The progressed sun has moved more slowly through my sun sign and the one next to it. My sun is at 9 degrees Virgo while my progressed sun is at 23 Libra. IP: Logged |

Weird.
My sun is in gemini and I feel nothing like it. When I was younger I was more scattered and hyper and constantly wanted to talk to or text message with friends.
Now the majority of my social interaction consists of guests at work only because it's my job and people on here.Another thing, when I was younger all of my interests and hobbies had short life spans. At this point in my life my current interest is astrology and I've been doing this for almost two years now (which is approximately 9 times longer than I've held other hobbies...seriously, I just did the math. Past hobbies lasted 2 months tops). My sun hasn't progressed to a new sign. The only major shift is my ASC moving from Leo to Virgo. IP: Logged |

Regarding Progressed Chart I noticed three things.Sun is progressed in Leo. I have become more arrogant than usual ( I have two planets in Leo in natal)
Moon was in Leo a few years back and now is back in Virgo in conjunction with my natal Moon at 2 degree. I have become hypochondriac and I have developed OCD.
ASC is going towards Sagittarius and my urge to move/travel/take long journeys has increased to the point of obsession. IP: Logged |
