Violets:
I often let someone else shell out the money for new clothes from Urban Outfitters or Anthropologie, and then capitalize on their trendiness via eBay.

Canadian girl: A lot of online shops list the measurements of the items, so I go by that. Some website like lightinthebox.com or some shops on etsy offer custom made items. But yeah often I stick with the websites that I know.

Virgo Moon, at your service.
No, it doesn't appear that we have those here. But we live very close to Victoria, so I suppose we could go to one if we just *really* wanted to, lol.

Ah, that makes sense. I always prefer seeing how the clothes fit first before I buy items. I've had plenty of cases where it should look good but sadly, it didn't when I tried it on.

Ah okay, I wasn't sure if RW and CO had broken into the US market or not.

I hate shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I love new things! My Sun is in 12th House and Mercury in 1st, also I suffer from panic attacks, so going shopping for a long time frustrates and bores me. What I do is, I go to the shop, find the things I like, then buy them whenever I feel like.

Another thing, I check the stock online, and then I buy whatever I fancy in a store.

I love love fashion, and new stuff. One day I'll have my personal shopper haha.

I used to like shopping for anything. Now I'm okay with electronics and book stores. A quick visit to a beauty store isn't bad either. The rest...ugh. If I could I would buy everything online (assuming the prices would be reasonable). Maybe it's my Saturn in the 5th. I even have a 2nd house Moon but I never was an overspender or obsessed with shopping. I guess the square to Saturn helps.

I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

About belts.
Try a vintage store, they have waaaayyy better quality belts in those stores. That's where I usually get the ones I like, anyway.

I went to a vintage store a month ago. Kinda was looking at belts. But my mission at the time was to find black boots. I bought black suede cowgirl boots! (from the 80's) and a blue oyster cult tour shirt. (also from the 80's)

LOL See I would be like that if I had to buy gifts for everyone... I feel bad for American moms...
My mom used the excuse that she isn't christian so is exempt from christmas duties and my dad is european so they more laid back about christmas in general but he use to do everything for us as kids.
Yeah we never gifted extended family and friends.

I'm just gifting my s.o and best friend LOL My parents don't even care about christmas gifts.. and screw everyone else I'm not spending a dime or effort on people I don't care too much about.. and I tell people not to get me gifts it's kinda awkward and they seem disappointed lmfao.

yeah I am also reluctant to online shop, in case clothes don't fit, or just don't look as good as I thought they would. Shipping them back sounds like a hassle.

Not too worried with shirts. But I feel like with pants they have to be just right and fit perfectly. I gotta try those on first.

Looking for a speficif thing at a store can sometimes be a waste of time. When it comes to something I don't buy often like a coat or swimsuit. I am very picky.
For swimsuits I feel like it's worth it for me to go to a place like Victoria's secret, rather than a department store. I seem to like Areopostle for more of an everyday look for coats. Not dressy, but not I'm dressed up for making snow angels!

If I'm looking for something very specific I'll research the store and make sure they have what I want if I'm not sure.

I scored on my cute winter coat when I went to a buy/sell/trade place a year ago. It's still cute and stylish, and all I gave them was two pairs of boots.

I'm picky about that type of stuff as well, because coats can look cute, but are poorly made or look like crap when you put them on.

Jeans always fit if they're the right size/style for me, so I just order the same ol' same ol'.

@ Kero--you didn't get dragged to IKEA did you??!
Gawd, I loathe that place.

In other news, yes...the pressure of buying stupid and annoying things like gift cards around Christmas is kind of depressing.

Shopping is more enjoyable, but we have a BIG family to buy for, so everyone trades off with homemade gifts and purchased gifts.

^^ Violets I totally can relate hahaha. I bought a bunch of cards. To me, writing card messages has never been a pleasant task. I used to make them, but now even thinking of making cards bores me to death.

Buying gifts for family/relatives is never easy. Too many people. If I get them the same stuff, they'll be sullen and think that I don't care enough. If I get them different things they'll start comparing gifts.

This Christmas I resort to hand-made gifts for the grown-ups and electronics stuff for the young ones.

I love it, but once I start browsing, I have to buy something! So I gotta make sure I can actually afford to shop.

Trying on, though, not so much. The waiting is so annoying and I have to really see if the clothes fit me, etc. I go alone, I like taking my sweet time. Wouldn't want to do that to someone else. You'll be there for an hour or two. Unless we can be indecisive together! *shrug* What can I say? Libra disposited by Virgo. Gotta be the right choices, too.

It's even worse with cosmetics, though it's gotten better now that I have my favourites. I prefer online, so I can get back to it later.

Food, though. Just get it over with quickly... too easily distracted by all the other stuff that looks yummy.
For all of those I need to check the bargains and discounts as well.

I hate shopping in stores because i can't seem to loosen up and enjoy myself. Maybe its because of my cap rising haha. I do love shopping online though, especially when buying expensive clothing. its just so hard to resist

haha. You know that nearly all couples who go to Ikea together end up arguing? It's true, there was a survey done apparently and I also tested it once when I went there. Indeed nearly every other couple I heard talking in there were bickering!

Anyway I have no patience for shopping really, especially when it comes to clothes, and actually find I hate the disappointment of trying to find exactly what I'm looking for only to come back empty-handed. Virgo perfectionist I guess. I'm also pretty unadventurous in that once I know a brand I like, underwear or sports clothes, for example, I will ALWAYS buy that brand.

I can't stand shipping....it's annoying and gives me headaches!
I go to find a specific thing because I'm not hanging out there just for the fun of it!
Half the time I will find it on the internet at a store, call the local stores to see if they have it in my size and hold it! I just want in and out!
My daughter loves shopping, she drags me along to buy the stuff and it's pure torture!
I used to like shopping, before I had too much to do all the then and my free time wasn't as precious as it is now!

With xmas, buying school books, unexpectedly having another week off of work, plus choosing not to shop with Venus rx in dec and jan.
I did not go clothes Shopping in 2 months.

I went to Khols. They have their spring clothes on display, and the winter clothes on clearance. I like in Michigan, so why would buy clothes I can't wear until April?

I only bought one thing that was not on sale, an Ivory camisole. 14 bucks. My mom went w/ me and shes like "oh...that's expensive." Any thing that is not cheap automatically get the expensive label. It's so annoying because she is no where near poverty.

Shopping is a Venus/2nd house affair thing.

I don't mind shopping, so long as it doesn't take the whole day. Yikes!

My 2nd house is ruled by Venus and Venus forms a conjunct with Saturn(ruler of my 10th house). I don't go shopping unless its absolutely necessary.

For someone who has the ruler of the 5th house in the 2nd house, they may enjoy spending money and thus see shopping as enjoyable and a leisurely activity.

This is also so if the ruler of the 5th house forms a conjunction or an easy aspect to the ruler of the 2nd house.

If the ruler of the 11th house is in the 2nd house, one may enjoy going as a group and making shopping an excursion with friends.

This is also the case for when the ruler of the 11th house is forming a conjunction or easy aspects to the ruler of the 2nd house.
