Please list each Mercury sign and its best match that belongs to another element. I wanna know what YOU think, not what you read somewhere.------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

In my experience the most compatible aspect after Mercury trine Mercury... is Mercury trine Sun. Mine is in Pisces - My most compatible is Scorpio Mercury... and the runner-up is Leo Mercury (trine my Sun). You can probably find another compatible Merc.. if you look at the closest aspects to your own Mercury in natal. I have Mercury square Uranus (Sagittarius). When a person's Mercury is in Sagittarius conjunct my Uranus - I usually have a lot in common with them. Also, when Merc is conjunct another planet (e.g. Merc conjunct Pluto).. the person will usually find commonalities with those who have their Mercury in the sign that planet rules.. (e.g. Scorpio Mercury). IP: Logged |

So, if my Mercury is in the 4th house and sextile Moon I have a big chance to have a flowing communication with a Cancer Mercury? I'm not aware of any experience with this placement so I have no idea. Besides, I have planets in Capricorn and this could complicate things. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I have a Sagittarius merc and I agree with Odette for most part. I'm most compatible with someone whose mercury trines my sun and vice-versa. I have a Sun trine mercury DW with someone (Aries sun trine my Sag merc, Pisces merc trine my Scorp sun) and communication is smooth-flowing and comfortable between us. Based on the signs alone, I get along with Pisces, Scorpio, Gemini, Aries mercuries. IP: Logged |

I'm a Pisces Sun with Aquarius Mercury.Compatible Mercuries are: Scorpio (I've yet to meet a Scorpio Mercury I don't get along with, even with the exact square on), Virgo, Capricorn, Gemini. I usually don't get along with Fire Mercuries at all. IP: Logged |

People keep saying stuff like this. but most astrology books are written by professional astrologers who have looked at thousands of charts over a career of decades and interacted with thousands of people. Doesn't that sound like it counts as coming to conclusions based off personal observation AND chart evidence? I'm not with this anti-intellectual, anti-reading stance that says there's something wrong with agreeing with any and everything found in a book. I'm like "Maybe they say Merc in Scorp and Merc in Leo ppl don't get along, because over time they've seen enough of them clash to know they really don't get along, so they typed it up and put it in a book." I'm not trying to come down on you personally I've just seen the same general things said elsewhere alot and its never made sense to me. It's like saying "Yeah I know you read that two plus three equals five, but that doesn't matter because you read it in a book!", even if you get out two pennies, and add three more, and see that it really does equal five. I only seem to really be understood by other Leo Mercuries. I never really feel like I have to struggle with them where that's concerned because it's like they immediately 'get it' right from the beginning. Sag Mercuries have too much foot-in-mouth for me and too many trollish tendencies; Aries in Mercury is too combative and competitive for me. For some reason I think I'd get on with a Merc in Cancer but I've never known any. Merc in Libra would annoy me by constantly being polite and not just saying what they really feel or mean. Merc in Scorp I don't like, they always think everybody else in the room is full of crap or up to something and that only they have the special x-ray vision to really see it; their paranoia and constant negative energy makes me go out of my way to ignore them, tune them out, or back gracefully out of the room so I don't have to deal with them. Mercury in Leo. I've noticed two things:1.I don't feel like I've having my Mercury in Leo. I feel like I'm having it in Cancer (Progressed Mercury is in Cancer). Only when I am writing I feel like the Leo energy is stricking. Other than that... I dunno. 2.I NEVER met a person who's Mercury is trine or sextile mine. The people around me have only Mercury in WATER or EARTH. Can't say its a blessing. Virgo or Pisces are the two signs in the people I've met or are around me. I like Mercury in MUTABLE signs. Especially in Pisces. In Pisces because its trine my sun and the others because Mercury in 9th house feels like Mercury in Saggitarius so mutable goes well anyway. My least favourite Mercury is Scorpio. I should have love it since its conjunct my ASC and Pluto but boy... the person was impossible. IP: Logged |
