Topic: How to handle the Scorpio man

Never dated a Scorpio before, and have no idea what to expect. He has Sun/Venus/Pluto conjunct in the 10th house, Cap Moon, Aqua Mars. He's a total workaholic. He seems to become less and less open and more shy the closer we get. I'm not sure how to handle him. I have an Aries Moon, so I'm very direct and most of the guys I've dated have had lots of fire, so I'm used to very direct, impulsive guys. If anyone has experience with Scorp/Capricorn Moon people, please share your experiences. He is much colder and more distant than the Venus Scorps I know, and I'm unsure of how to handle him. He's going to be shy and reserved. My guess is because of the Retrograde Merc and Venus in his tenth house.I have a friend with retrograde venus and merc in Aries, she has communication issues. I don't think that retrograde Jupiter makes things better,
albeit theres not a lot of "negative" aspects to Jupiter - wide squares. Is he selfish at all?

lol. Scorp/Capri is really cold. Takes a long while to warm up. With his chart, he's pretty much married to his career. He'll probably want a girl as hardworking as him by his side who isn't that needy. IP: Logged |

Man, this guy haas mars square pluto so his mars isnt like other aqua mars. Cap moon and rising are just coooolllllddddd. Like frozen, and mean. Saturn is in 11th and moon makes only one main aspect - that just yells antisocial to me. And all that plutonic influences, I don't even want to know this guy

Yes, he's very shy and reserved. Very emotionally distant, as well, and has problems talking about his feelings. He's a bit selfish, yes. @summerlite
Damn, you're good!  He's a doctor, and is completely married to his career. I'm unsure of whether to make the first move, or wait for him to make the first move? I've heard Cappy Moons are slow to commit, so I don't want to pressure him IP: Logged |

He's definitely very different on the outside. He is very warm and loving at first, and very affectionate, but inside, he's quite cold and distant.

First. He is a Capricorn Rising with Moon in first house. He may SEEM cold and distant but in fact he is guarded and reserved. This is a Capricorn/Saturn trait that people seem to adopt with others whom they don't know.
Capricorn influenced people and those with many planets in 6th or 10th house are workaholics.
His ASC ruler is Saturn in 11th house. He has friends but the relationship he has with them is serious and commited. For him, friends are forever.
That Mars in 1st house should make him a man of action, driven by ambition and making him wishing for more and more to achieve. Uranus is in 12th house. Apparently he is channeling Mars energy in the wrong way. He doesn't get angry often and if he does he is keeping that anger inside him. That's not good.
Jupiter Rx in 2nd house with ruler in 1st. If he has money made by himself he must be a rich person. With Jupiter in 2nd if one works he has more money than usual.
NN is in 3rd house with ruler in 1st. He has a karma regarding brothers and his communication skills. He needs to be more OPEN. Vertex is in Leo in 7th house. He is destined to have relationships and partnersships, often succesful ones. Yet... marriage will come later in life.
Three planets in 10th house with ruler in 9th. He's breathing career and I think he travels a lot over the world. Traveling and working makes him feel alive and confident about himself.
My advice for you... if you like him have patience with him and don't pressure him to open up. Be nice and kind with him and show him that you are different. ( I'm pretty sure he was burned in the past in love relationships)IP: Logged |

Thanks so much! You've described him quite well, and I appreciate the advice. Yes, he has plenty of money (made by himself), but it's because he works 6-7 days a week at the hospital. I noticed his saturn is square his Jupiter, which explains why he's actually quite cheap! lol Yes, he's definitely very reserved, and does not get angry often. HUGE problem with authority. He also has Neptune conjunct ASC. That could explain why you think he's warm and affectionate on the outside. It's just a projection. You'll have to accept he's not going to be like that with you if you date him.His 7th house is Cancer. He'll want a nurturing partner. 7th house ruler in 1st house. He'll usually seek his own partner. Venus in 10th. He'll seek a partner in his workplace. Mars aquarius is usually quite direct when pursuing partners. But with Venus and Mercury retrograde, it could take him very long to realise or speak out about his feelings. IP: Logged |

Hey there, ho there, whoa there...I'm not a man, but I am a Scorpio sun Cap rising with virgo moon. I'm not cold. At all. Reserved? Heck yeah! UNTIL I trust you. Then...once you are in the inner circle, I will do anything for you and share everything with you. Few get in there and only after MUCH scrutiny. It's not about being a cold or picky person, it's about abject fear due to extremely intense emotions and a massive desire for sound decisions that won't be regretted, so as to safe guard my bursting heart! People who don't know me well, think I am cool, calm and collected and competent and reliable. People who do know me, think I am extremely sensitive, very loving and emotionally intense. Both are the real me. One part is protection of the other part. Maybe he is not unlike me. With venus, merc and sun in scorpio, how the heck can he be cold? I'd say it's the aqua mars that comes off as the cold bit. Caps aren't cold, they are cautious and slow to trust and blocked about showing their hearts, but their hearts are full of long lasting, unshakable love once you are in there. Same with scorps. Mega-Scorps with Cap energy typically are little icebergs. Vindictive too and for really no reason. I had a Scorp-stellium teacher this past Fall semester who pretty much ran me out of his English class, and then when I tried to transfer over to another one, he contacted that teacher (who originally seemed a bit open to taking me) and then the teacher decided not to.This was a gateway course I needed for my major. He essentially set me back an entire semester and I had to take him to a hearing over this and everything. The only real compliant I remember hearing from my academic advisor (who spoke to him) was that he had a problem with me looking down at the floor in class. Yes, really. Tread careful with the Scorp.
