Holidays bring out the best and worst in the energy of the heavens. This week the planets are in very dramatic relationships with each other in very action oriented signs.Our job, as people striving to become conscious, is to focus and direct that energy swirling around toward the HIGHER ways it can manifest.
The Holiday planetary energy draws our attention to past Christmases and Holidays. We become very aware of the passage of time. Kind of like Scrooge in the Dickens’ story, we will be visited by ghosts from our past ~ Venus is retrograde. Welcome the ghosts of your past and talk to them.
We’ll learn things we didn’t know about or perhaps remember with Mercury’s aspects to the Galactic Center and shift into Capricorn as well as his connection with the Nodes.
There are very stressful aspects with Mars ~ focus on we-we-we not me-me-me. Chose the higher path, the path that connects rather than divides.
Lots of spaces for sadness. Lots of spaces for gratitude. Lots of space for understanding how our lives are complex and shifting cycles of reality that conflict yet exist simultaneously. Embrace the complexity. Spend time talking to the older relatives gathered around the fire place. Play and laugh with the children.

The Week’s Planetary Highlights
Sun in Capricorn works with your dreams the 24th through the 26th as he and Mercury sextile Neptune. Give voice and energy to the hopes and dreams in your heart. The Sun aspects the Nodes of fate on December 27 so make sure to pay attention to who you meet, hear from or encounter. Get out the door into the world to start working on the next chapter!
Mercury is super busy. Flying through the heavens, he’s giving his opinion in a frank and direct manner, whether you want to hear it or not until he enters Capricorn on Tuesday December 24. Mercury in Capricorn gets SERIOUS, focused and becomes of “few words” that “means what he says and says what he means”. Mercury joins the Sun, becoming combust… not interested in the OTHER person’s opinion… on Sunday December 29. All week long, Mercury knows what he knows and he’s not listening particularly well to the other person. Mercury is Out of Bounds so he’s going to be saying things that don’t “follow the rules”. Expect to learn, meet people or find out some interesting tidbits that rock your world this week especially on December 27 to 29. Mercury is somber and sober in Capricorn until January 11, 2014.
Mercury crosses over the Galactic Center this week encouraging psychic and emotional connections across time and space.
Venus in Capricorn is retrograde until January 31. She links up with Pluto by declination so triangles are the theme story for the week! Open them up to higher and wiser folks! SERIOUS times about money, finance, love and desire energies!
Mars in Libra is about WE-WE-WE not ME-ME-ME! Mars starts to move through the Cardinal Cross of Uranus, Pluto and Jupiter this week. Mars opposes Uranus on Christmas morning, stimulating clarity, arguments or moving on. Oppositions between Malefic planets make oppositions more difficult as the energies want to struggle with each other rather than cooperate and work as a dyad or team. Mean struggles are always more heightened than pleasant planets facing off with each other. Mars has a psychological aspect with the area where you feel deeply emotionally wounded ~ a great opportunity to clear it out or be rewounded or perhaps both. Next week Mars squares Pluto ~ whose energy we start to feel towards the end of this week. For the next eight months, Mars is going to be paying attention to how well you partner and play with others. This week there will be fighting on the playground of your life. Focus on how you can improve communications, relationships and connections with others. Mars rules Saturn so Saturn is all about committing to relationships with any planets in your chart between 16 and 23! And of course, we are reprising the story from1984 to 1985 and 1955 to 1956 with you starring in a different role.
Juno squares Admetos on December 26, ending relationships, partnerships and connections that you felt were forever.
Jupiter clears up your various nests ~ home, office, car and your body this week with his square to Vesta. Looks like the holiday decorations come down early!
Saturn is exalted while answering to Mars in Libra ~ things will be very intense and complicated emotionally, there will be a deep, profound and expressed desire state. Saturn is in his shadow, setting up stories for when he goes retrograde between March 2 and July 20, 2014. Watch the stories unfolding in your life now be revised in March. You are going to be working on these projects until the end of October 2014. Focus on your vision of how to improve or partner (remember WE-WE-WE not ME-ME-ME until July 25!) Keep in mind, each and every commitment you make can and probably will be revised or changed a bit after March 2, 2014.
Hygeia stations and turns direct on December 23, 2013. Build up your immune system! Going to be a wicked flu season!
Void Moons in the Week Ahead: When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles. Avoid being concerned with things beyond your spiritual center. It is time for subjective, spiritual and non-materialistic concerns. Kick back, let life flow and center yourself. Connect into your essential oneness with the Universal Forces.

Moon goes void sextile to Venus on Sunday Dec 29, 2013 at 08:55:31 am EST and enters Sagittarius on Sunday Dec 29, 2013 at 12:38:04 pm EST. Moon is void Sunday morning.
Moon’s Day Monday December 23, 2013 Moon in Virgo goes void trine to Venus making today and Tuesday particularly productive, price conscious and service based. Buy presents and gifts that support service, that are economical or green. Lots of food, animal and habit energy today. Moon’s trine to Pluto mid-day pushes everything into high relief where you can see, do and understand how to get things accomplished. Mercury’s busy aspects today get lots crossed off your to-do list. Hygeia stations and turns direct so health matters take a turn in a new direction. Mars square to Kronos pushes us to review and remember the past so we don’t repeat it. The square encourages us to move forward with a renewed sense of hope and passion.
Mars’ Day Tuesday December 24, 2013 Moon in Virgo goes void trine to Venus on Tuesday Dec 24, 2013 at 10:55:39 pm EST. Mercury enters Capricorn until January 11, 2014. Communications get much more serious and somber. Mercury in Capricorn is the originator of the strong and silent type. Using few words, Mercury believes there is a right way and a wrong way. You don’t shuffle the cd because the artist had a particular way of creating the album and you listen to it the way they want you to listen to it. Mercury in Capricorn EXPECTS to be heard and obeyed. Old chronic health matters resurface so expect or look for new solutions as they now exist when they didn’t before. Sun and Neptune are highly creative and deeply emotional so allow tears to flow if need be. Sometimes spending time, silently, with family members or friends is enough to allow those sensitive areas to heal. Sun has a bi-quintile aspect to Admetos encouraging endings ~ easy endings but endings ~ that allow you to move forward. Mercury’s trine to Hygeia encourages you to try a new approach to health matters ~ even if it is something you tried before, now it actually works… it’s about the journey in this case. And, the NEW component is what’s going to make it work.
Mercury’s Day Wednesday December 25, 2013 Moon enters Libra on Wednesday Dec 25, 2013 at 01:18:03 am EST and goes void square to Venus offering a PLEASANT overdoing and connections. Lots of laughter and abundance. Mars opposes Uranus offering many unexpected, chaotic, crazy but needed changes in your life. Could be some fights or unexpected endings. Mercury’s quintile to Ceres encourages you to speak for and about the dream. Think back to what you wanted to create when you were 20…today someone or somehow that dream(s) is activated. AND, if the activation is “harsh” ~ “you never would have been able to do that” etc, in some way denying or denigrating your dream because of Mercury’s opposition to Hades, take it as the motivating energy it was designed to be. Sometimes when we are “inspired” by the negative rather than the positive… listen and hear the criticism to know where to push for change.
