So are they really significant? Any stories? In my case his Part of Marriage exactly conjuncts my Venus and my Moon exactly squares his Sun/Moon midpoint!IP: Logged |

Does anyone know of working midpoint and part calculators? The midpoint and parts calculators on the noendpress.com website have been shut down. I can't muster up the concentration to calculate manually with my preschoolers tearing around full of Christmas cheer, so I would be very grateful if someone can steer me to a simple calculator. Thanks so much! IP: Logged |

I haven't heard anything consistent on the accuracy of arabic parts, so I guess just experiment. IP: Logged |

Thank you Page One and Queen Salome!Starchaser, have you seen this page? http://www.auxmaillesgodefroy.com/arabic_parts It goes into considerable depth on the Arabic Parts. Historically, I find them interesting, although they seem relatively unknown today, with the exception of the Part of Fortune. I suspect they were supressed in Church-led efforts during the Middle Ages to define and eliminate "sorcery". I lived in Paris for a number of years and saw an exhibition at the Institute of Arab Culture and Civilization on the Golden Age of Arab Science. Imagine my shock when I saw ancient tools on display, used by Arab astrolgers and astronomers as part of the exhibition. I was also stunned to discover astrological symbology on the left arch of the Notre Dame Cathedral, reinforcing my belief that there is more to astrology than we are aware of in the mainstream as of yet. My point in mentioning this is that the Parts were common and heavily relied upon during a period of time in the past and disappeared for another period, to resurface now. I wish I could read Arabic in order to examine ancient texts! IP: Logged |
