Lol maybe I'm a weirdo but I de-stress/relax by playing meditation music or nature sounds. I personally haven't met anyone else who does the Same thing and I have even met people who say the stuff has the opposite effect on them and makes them stressed or angry. What do you think would indicate that one would be calmed by sounds? I personally blame my case on Taurus moon in the third house. But what are some other things that would indicate this? Thoughts?

Although I don't feel as soothed by nature sounds, I do like the sounds of white noise. I find that particularly soothing.

Uh, isn't it a natural thing? Most people I know are like that. That's what calming music is made for, hah.

But yeah generally speaking, liking music is a Venus thing or Neptune thing.

Well that's what I would have thought too, but apparently it's not. That's been my experience anyway. My mom gets angry when she hears it, she says it stresses her out lol. I have met a few others who react that way too..

I totally agree w/ the Moon-Neptune aspects.

I have the opposition. My Mother has the trine. We both *live* for music! All kinds of music, too. It's a huge part of my daily life! I'm listening to my Pandora as I type here at work...

Not everyone likes calming sounds...
I don't like calming sounds.. music is suppose to give me life.
My roommate use to put on soundscapes and that use to **** me off... It really bores me.

I either like dramatic eerie orchestral music or really upbeat fast paced

I'm constantly waiting for the base to drop in a slowish song...

I am the exact same way and I'm guessing it's my moon in Libra, moon-neptune Square? I also have jupiter conjunct moon so that might add to it too. My Taurus Ascendant is all about beauty and I think relaxing music is beautiful..

Couldn't hurt to see what the asteroid "Somnium" is doing in a chart. Probably a stretch, but humor me. It's not entirely off-base. I have it conjunct my sun and bands like Air (that have a lot of really mellow calming music) do have a marked effect on me.

Neptune probably factors in too sleep, dreams, tranquility.

I'm the opposite of this - white noise agitates and distracts me, but I love nature sounds. They usually either make me sleepy and mellow or h*rny (yes I know that's TMI but I'm not adverse to a little over-sharing once in a while).

lolol hmm maybe the "pattern" of the music somehow annoyed her? Or maybe the sound is too loud? Or maybe she was not in the right mood? I like relaxing music as well, but I remember going to an astrologer's place once, and before the natal chart reading he turned on the relaxing music which was a bit too loud, and it worsened my anxiety a bit before he lowered the volume lol. But I like it when it's in lower volume, when I feel relaxed and calm I tend to be too sensitive of the sounds.

I also have Neptune trine Moon.

same. Music can calm me down, hype me up, chill me out, make me horny, etc. etc. I am incredbly sensitive to all kinds of musical stimualtion. Moon trine neptune, venus and ascendant in 1st in pisces.

I like ambiant music but not just mediation music, more yoga dub/chill downstep kind of stuff. I like nature ssounds, but not unless I'm trying to fully relax, they don't work for me as background music - and i always have some kind of music playing.
I agree with that fact that I thought that was true for everyone - "music soothes the savage beast".
