A friend of mine is passing an exam to take admition next week and he is very scared , he is depressed and can't study and he says he'd kill himself if he failed , i took a look at his SR chart and he has a sun-moon conjunction in 9th house , i read the new moon in SR can point to death and i'm really worried any insights ?

No way! I've had 2 Sun/Moon conjunctions in the SRs of my life, including one of them being the year I've got married, and then a New Moon in some other SRs, and no attempts to suicide nor the will to do it ever happened.

What are the placements of your friend? I'd interpret the Sun/Moon conjunction in the 9th house as focused on higher education or other 9th house stuffs instead. Maybe you can analyze your friend's chart, and then help him find a study plan that can help him overcome the fear...

For example, if he is watery/fiery, tell him/her that you will study together, and then also take him/her for some relaxing and exciting fun after each study section. Encourage and support emotionally.
If he/she is airy/earthy, plan your study schedules with small achievements and goals, so that they are realistic and achievable bit by bit. For example, if he needs to know A, B, C and D for the exam, divide these in the remaining days of study, and by each day he/she must reach to that study point. Maybe doing a number of exercises per day. Suggest some realistic and practical ways to tackle what he/she has to learn, by conquering bit by bit each day. This can make a earthy person feel more secure, as it is a realistic and achievable plan.

Don't look for doomy gloomy astrological signs, what you need is to be cheerful and positive for your friend, and not negative. Also, the astrological sign/method can be wrong and you don't need that mess up you or your friend. And then there is also free will.

Oh another interesting thing, my husband also has Sun/Moon conjunction in his SR in the year he married me. None of us felt suicidal.

Oh thank you so much for your reply , that was relieving and i've tried so many things to cheer him up but he either can't do it or doesn't want to , he is Leo sun , pisces moon and i don't know his ASC sign but i think he is a saggitarius rising ( maybe saturn transiting 12th house is what's causing depression), he is very ambitious to the point that he wants to attempt the whole exam , i have a virgo stellium in 6th house and i feel very responsible for him , i just don't want him to do some foolish things

Pisces Mooners might appreciate the support and being there, and with a positive outlook can help Leos get more positive too. Try to help him define small goals for each day (by defining realistic goals with proper rest and breaks too), and give him support and fuel his will from time to time so that his Pisces Moon can keep going and not get passive.
