The cutting planet or the leading planet applies for the following type of charts:The Bundle, The Bowl and The Locomotive Charts. In these 3 types of charts there is a high focus planet.

What is your leading planet and HOW do you feel it?

I'm going to leave this link
http://johnsandbach.com/?p=229

If you don't know if you have a bundle or a bowl or a locomotive shaped chart.

The cutting planet is found the same way as in the Bundle and the Bowl shaped charts while for the Locomotive charts you will have to move your finger counterclockwise.

Depending on the response this thread can garner I shall go into more detail.

Mine is Jupiter. I am quite philosophical. I am always coming up with quick summaries of reality and why people do what they do and try to be in touch with the "bigger picture" of this universe. Which for me means understanding how things work. Like that everything is matter and energy and how the universe formed.

Heres my chart:

I believe that I almost have a Bowl Chart and Pluto is my Cutting Planet.

I don't really know how Pluto influences me. It's part of a T-Square in my chart, but I feel like I'm more Venusian and Jovian than Plutonian. I could be wrong, though. What does Plutonian energy feel like?

I have a bowl chart. Jupiter is the cutting planet which is in mutual reception with my chart ruler, Mercury.

bucket chart.

saturn is on the handle. Retograde. Cancer. 8th house. ONLy planet on the Western Side of the chart.
I channel pretty much ALL interaction through it.

Using traditional rulerships it is in mutual reception and exact quinkunx to Moon in Aquarius.
It most definitely is in mutual reception when it comes to rulerships.
saturn as ruler of 2nd house in 8th house.
Moon as ruler of 8th house in 2nd house.

Saving grace to save it from getting too dumpty?

Probably the widish *5 degrees) trine to chartruler Jupiter in pisces in 3rd.

Saturn is also in no opposition to either Venus nor Sun nor any other planet. Though in contraparallel.

Your post made me smile Because I relate 100pc to what you just said.

I have Taurus Jupiter with mutual reception with the moon in exaltation, as my leading planet, sextile my Leo Sun,trine my asc and sextile saturn, parallel to Mercury,Sun,Moon and Saturn.

Hi Jess!

I can't relate to the 'paternalistic' description in the article you posted but I think really has a big influence in my life, especially in my career and interpersonal relationships since it also rules my descendant. I also think that it reflects my independent streak, along with my moon in the 9th and planets in the 5th.

Jupiter is part of a t-square in my chart. It's opposite moon, square mercury. It's also trine uranus, neptune and NN. It's in Virgo btw, 3rd house.

@soren

I couldn't see your natal chart earlier.

I believe it's Moon your cutting planet not Jupiter. You have a locomotive chart.

EDIT:

Ceri, I just realised you said you have a Bucket chart. Therefore you can't have a cutting planet.

PlutoFish, why are you giving me your aspects?

Ah yes, maybe. However the handle planet in a bucket chart is an extremely high focus planet as well, as he is usually a singleton on one side of the chart and all energy gets poured out through him.

I may be a SAgittarius at heart, but I am expressing it right through my Cancer-Saturn in 8th house. Explains a lot of things actually.

Mine is Mars and my Mars is OOB too.

I have what's probably either a Bundle or Bowl chart. Most folks born after say 1980 have one, it means we're here for very specific purposes.
