I feel like my venus in virgo holds me back when it comes to love , it's like I'm scared to commit even
Though I've never been in a relationship before.

I heard an astrologer say today that Venus in Virgo individuals have a hard time expressing themselves emotionally, it is so tough for them that they tend to appear cold because they lack sexual passion.

Not saying that's true but it looks as if this is a more challenging placement to deal with.

You probably just want a partner that fits your ideal well, don't sweat it

I'm surprised a professional astrologer would say that when the sex drive is Mars, not Venus.

I have Venus in Virgo and yes i find it hard to express my emotions , even when i have feelings for someone i tend to hide them and wait for the other to approach me first , i show my interest by offering help lol but hey we're not insensitive orcold people !! that's not true , Leo and Cancer make me feel loved and only then do i admit my feelings ..

It also depends on other placements in your chart. I have five planets in Virgo, including Venus and I have no problem expressing my emotions. I need to restrain them really!

You would think with a fourth house moon in Scorpio being unable to express my emotions would be my concern as well. I am Leo rising with sun/Venus/Uranus conjunct in the first house. I will say this, though, not until I was out of my twenties was I able to accept that I was an emotional person.

you should look at your chart as a whole and not blame individual pieces for something. it could be your house placement that causes this, an opposition to another planet, or just another aspect entirely. I also have a virgo venus (with a fairly inhibited cap moon), but it's never caused a problem in romance or passion, just a lot of pickiness and perhaps being a bit slow to warm up to people.
