A triple Cancer will be deeply emotional. He'll have outstanding intuition & a stellar sense of humor.

If he knows that he's safe & secure w/ you...he'll be very devoted, protective, passionate about the Lady in his life.

Cancer is in a rough position as the ONLY water sign in the lower hemisphere. Being the apex of the lower hemisphere Cancer sits at the fulcrum of self-preservation and environmental identification. When the gravity of their other planets pull their tide toward self-preservation, there is a tendency toward the more defensive and hoarding characteristics of the sign. When the gravity of their other planets pull their tide toward environmental identification, there is a tendency toward wanting to invite the outside in and nurture it.

Of course Cancer is capable of being both defensive and nurturing regardless of their other influences, but the sign finds comfort moving with the tide, not fighting against it.

Exactly. My hope is for more people here to focus on this side of Cancer instead of what they deem as its 'negative' traits 24/7. That gets old!

Your entire response was informative though! I just wanted to put focus on the above portion for a moment.

I have my Cancer Moon in the 9th House and I'm so grateful for that. I'm generally optimistic - it's hard to keep me down for long! Sure...I get irritated, p*ssed & sensitive at times. But it's nothing extreme AT ALL unless I'm in an extreme situation. And having these feelings is not a "Cancer thing" alone. Many people of different signs have these moments.

Plus, I know how to go be by myself, think things over, and let my emotions out in a healthy fashion for the most part. And when a Cancer is in a good place...FEW OTHERS can give you the deep well of wisdom, love & care that a Cancer does. Unmatched!!!

Definitely. I think people who have difficulty with Cancers in general, don't have an investment driven nature. Being friends with a Cancer is like learning to surf. If you understand and respect how the ocean works, you will rarely see its harsh side. When you pay attention and just care about the relationship, the whole experience can be very fun and quite spiritual. Of course there are Cancers who have experienced so many traumas that they walk around like a tsunami, but every sign has those people.

Perhaps Cancer gets a bad rap, because negative Cancers are the more likely of the water signs to put their unpleasantness out on display. Scorpio tend to hide their unpleasantness behind them, showing they have a weapon, but not putting all their cards on the table in case they have to use it. Pisces hide their unpleasantness so others will underestimate them and when others swim too deep and start backing Pisces into a corner, the Pisces wraps a tentacle around their ankle and drags them down into the abyss. Cancer wear their unpleasantness like a suit of armor. When they are negative people, they are intentionally so because they want you and your offending/imposing energy out of their space.

To be fair, even the most negative Cancer can become pleasant when you learn how to ride their wavelength.
