On the topic because my Mother (8th house node) and her partner (8th house Moon) are over tonight and you can feel the Power/sexual energy awareness, power has been a strong theme for the last 2000 years, obviously Ophiuchus plays a big role in subtling it in the Aquarian age but it is a very interesting subject.

Share any thoughts;

Now the three that first come to mind for me are Pluto, Sirius & Ixion.

Others i can think of are Hades, Kronos and Nessus, please comment if you can think of any others, i'm not sure if Orcus or Pholus would be under the microscope.

Sirius is the lord in the skys, the catchprase of Sirius would be *You can do whatever you choose in life" - obviously your view on that depends on your beliefs.

With an 8th house Sirius,(guess what that means ladies.. LOL ) - I think Sirius is one of the strongest points in the chart, there is a strong access to power, a powerful awareness, but also very careful to who is in the power, and that it is treated carefully, and respected, power should only be a thing of self-defense or for a cause of good.
I find very good companionship with Dogs and other animals with an 8th house Sirius.

Pluto the ruler of the sexual genitals, is the power accepted within society, which is more of a need for power of the self, as to not be overcome by others. Self-control, desire and the power to do what MUST be done..

Ixion was a centaur, a dark king who abused his power as king then was slayn.
Ixion in the chart creates much self-conflict, with in on the ascendant i am always putting myself in a position of power then hating (emphasis on hating) myself for doing so, but such wisdom can be gained from Ixion.

Myself i have Pluto-Ixion-Jupiter on the ascendant, far reaching to Mercury, with an eighth house Sirius.

Bit of a heavy topic, but a good subject none the less, i'm not someone who is into power i am very much against power in society, mine goes with Jupiter so i tend to get a bit preachy, thinking what is right and wrong.

Oh, please. All that first comment is going to do is send a flood of people in here claiming they're compassionate - and in my experience, the ones that actually are, are not the people who claim to be.

Power in the chart is Pluto.

I have it conjunct my moon and so I did inherit a lot of power - and I mean that in multiple ways - through my maternal line.

Fixed stars are a bit of a misnomer though I think, because there are plenty of people with little to no fixed star activity in their chart who have a great deal of personal power. Which is why I'm coming down off the fence and saying Pluto is really power.

It isn't out of bias because I don't have fixed star activity - in fact I do, spica and arcturus are on my moon; sirius is on my mars. I've just truly seen that the people with the most REAL personal power, don't always have Sirius active in their chart or any other fixed star.

I said compassionate souls only so no one comes in and starts boasting there power, to show this is not a "omg power" topic. If you are not compassionate or caring or the right treatment for power then i do not really care for your views of life ... apologies.

Pluto is power, yes, it rules the sexual genitals, you have your Moon conjunct Pluto? How do you find that? One of my close friends has his Moon conjunct Pluto he tells me it can be very annoying at times, Pluto has been transiting my Moon for the past few months.

Obviously you havn't delved overly in depth into astronomology, Sirius is the biggest star in the skys and is the Black dog of death, Anubis, who Pluto barely even compares to, being a similar size to our Moon.
Sirius is a much more ruthless power than Pluto,, Pluto is the one that is within our society orientated system, even though now Scorpio is being de-moted Pluto is now a dwarf planet.

Various fixed stars will obviously include power, but i am meaning to talk about the ones specifically involved.

Castor and Pollux will give a want for power, and they are located near Gemini ..

My father had his Moon conjunct Sirius, with Pollux on the ascendant, he was arrested several times for fights before he passed away.

To be fair with a Moon-Pluto compassion isn't going to be on your immediate agenda ..

What sign is Moon-Pluto in?

I have Asc-Pluto-Jupiter-Ixion-Mercury(Horus & Giza) in Libra.

My cousin, a Sag, strange enough, told me once he wanted to read the whole dictionary and master his arsenal of words.
